Good selection of fountain pens. Mostly those at the more affordable prices. Great place to find stationery gifts for your loved ones. Oh, they have books too.

Book stores are closing right... Online content is becoming easier to access... So you'd think the greeter at the front door would be more than happy to help a real live person walking in their front door... Well no, not here! Would have thought they would be more accommodating even if just for saving her own job while this store remains open...

This has got to be the best bookstore I have ever been. I had bought the AL-star glossy red Special Edition Fountain Pen and Notebook Gift Set at a very fair price. It may be slightly a bit expensive, but the price is quite reasonable for pens of such a good quality. In fact, it does deserve a higher price, as the quality is way too good. It has got to be the best of Lamy, not only because of their fluorescent transparent yellow grip, and one of the orangish red feeds, but also how smooth it writes. Fitted with my large volume cartridge, it can last me an entire week before my cartridges need to be refilled. And the refill process is also very easy. Simply pull out the blue plug at the back, plug the glass pearl back in, and you can fill the cartridge with a syringe only, rather than requiring a needle to refill. The staff member had shown an enthusiastic and polite manner and attitude. They have shown me respect and care like no other bookstores have before. This is the bestest pen store I had ever been in my entire life. They have the best manners and attitude we can ever ask for. Anyone who shops or buys anything here should be very grateful.I am also looking to apply for a part time job in this store.

I guess its alright" despite being 3 stories high its selection of books is rather limited. The cafe is really overpriced for what it is which is really upsetting. I see they are trying to cater to the more popular side of books i.e booktok with little interest in the other genres. I have just gotten used to not being surprised when i walk in knowing it will be the exact same selection. I would personally go to the Japanese bookstore in The Grounds way better selection and has more of a niche market."

Ok, Dymocks is a well known Sydney book shop located on George St stocking books on just about every topic. There's a small seated area allowing for people to sit and read. However, their cafe on the first floor is a little gem. It's basically U shaped looking down on to the ground floor. There's booth seating, mostly for 4 people. It's a really comfy atmosphere with friendly attentive staff. There's a variety of snacks and food with a breakfast and lunch menu at reasonable prices. Scones with cream and jam is my favourite.Check it out, it's well worth a visit....or more.

Long live the bookstore. In these times if you’re not a chain bookstore, it makes it very difficult to survive. Yes, Dymocks is a large chain, but you always feel at home there. It’s a great place to find exceptional stationary, a birthday card or your next read. Highly recommended spending some time here and just enjoying the atmosphere of a classic bookstore.
