Spartans Basketball MSAC

I was inquiring about entering a competition and the service I got was amazing. The staff went above and beyond, I was shown exactly how to apply, where to apply and when to apply. The current season is ending (03/20) so I was informed now is best to apply as winter season will be starting soon. On-top if that the reffs are amazing, very fair, correct calls and a lot of them! They're everywhere at msac, scoring on the bench and higher up reffs walking around monitoring the games. I was playing at social sport in Footscray and I can't even begin to explain how bad it is. $85 per game for probably the worst courts I've ever played on + the reffs are legit, they don't know how to call, they don't pay attention to the game and the worst thing is that the scheduling doesn't make any sense. For example a game will start at 9:00 with the best game starting at 9:40. This means no breaks between games and no breaks between halves.Anyways I'm happy to have joined the Spartan league. Looking forward to the 2020 winter season!

Well run basketball comp in the heart of Melbourne town.

I play here on a Tuesday night. After experiencing another competition held by Social Sport, I have come to the realization that the professionalism held by Spartans Basketball is second-to-none. The operations behind the organization is top-tier.

Very expensive for what it is. Run by very grumpy people who don’t understand they are supposed to be providing a service for the money we pay

The Competition is run by out of touch grumpy people. The referees are inconsistent and emotional with their decisions, clearly having relationships with some teams. They forget we are paying for a service. Once a target is on your back you may as well leave competition. And let’s not mention the $100 they sting you out of the blue half way through the season… Poo wee

Tuesday nights.Pretty fierce competition, you may find former pro athletes in as low as C grade.It is good having a dedicated scorer.Strict policies, pretty inflexible.Especially regarding uniform.

People aren't so bad. The comp on a whole is lacking innovation. But, if you have played local Basketball around Melbourne. In my opinion. Spartans is one of the better leagues. Not perfect, but not the worst either.
