Had the Sashimi, the Vegetable tempura, baby abalone, and the black coconut and black sesame Ice Cream. All faultless. Really enjoyed it, service was friendly, relaxed atmosphere, food was terrific.

Love the high quality Japanese food here. Excellent service. When we ordered Sake, the waiter asked us if we prefer warm or cold.Appropriate food portion.Haven't tried eel rice for a long time. Love it.Freshly made tempura made me feel like I was in Japan.

Just wow, we are visiting from Sydney and luckily found this place. We had the banquet, all I can say is wow. Fresh & flavoursome . The staff were polite and friendly. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.

Great service and presentation of food and decor. Sashimi items were disappointing.We really enjoyed the service, location, and attentiveness of staff (despite a busy evening). I would personally be hesitant to recommend ordering sashimi items for next time.Given the pricing of the sushi and sashimi (moderate) I think it is reflected in the average quality of the fish. Most lacking was the tuna which had no texture and whilst Im not an expert we felt it could've been better. Kingfish was nice however given the quality of the sashimi moriawase and sashimi don we ended up cancelling our last order of spicy tuna roll (which the staff kindly actioned) as we were uncertain of the quality based on our experience of the other 2 items.Tempura was nice and nasu dengaku had generous portions. In hindsight would order less sashimi items personally.

One world: excellent.We choose the banquet course”Ume”, and it’s worth every penny. Shout out to the chef who makes our date perfectly perfect. Thank you so much, it has a warm environment, nice decoration and every plate I taste is as fresh and as tasty as possible. We had a really lovely time here.For anyone who wondered, we had miso soup, edamame, tofu salad, sashimi, beef tataki, chicken karaage, sushi rolls, gyoza, beef steak, matcha panna cotta with matcha ice cream and sesame ice cream.

We had an hour before needing to leave for the airport and found this place for lunch. My goodness! Great good and excellent prices. Service was really nice as well. Two of us ordered 12 dishes and paid a total of $170.

Most non-authentic Japanese there is around (not surprised given its run by Chinese) It smells like a dive bar inside, the skewers don’t taste grilled more like boiled, the lamb is half fat. The sashimi don, you could probably make a better one at home (the Japanese place at battery point has one that’s 10x better) If it tasted good and well thought out, I would’ve been happy with the small portions but ultimately this left me hungry with a big bill.

Ichimei is located amongst the lively nightlife of Salamanca. It's a beautiful restaurant and our waitresses were great. The food was delicious - of note, the unagi don was huge, Udon is a large delicious serving, skewers and squid were charred well and packed with flavour, eggplant was grilled perfectly with a lip smacking sweet and salty miso dressing. The sashimi was fresh and we enjoyed everything.
