Custom Vee Dub

Peter at Custom Vee Dub has helped nurse my 72 lowlight back to its former glory over the past two years. He has occasionally bent over backwards to help get my Kombi back on the road when time has been of the essence and he's always provided plenty of good advice.Each Kombi can present its own bizarre mechanical puzzle, and Custom is very good at figuring out a solution that works for a particular engine... while not charging the earth.I run my business out of my Kombi and can't afford untimely breakdowns. Thanks to Custom, I've been able to make trips from Brisbane to Melbourne and Sydney without issue. Can't recommend them enough.

Pete is an absolute wizard! Dropped my beetle off to him for tuning, and he went above and beyond sorting my motor out.On top of that, he’s incredibly affordable, and exceptional to talk to about any concerns and issues you might have, and it’s clear he takes great pride in his work.I will absolutely be coming back for any future issues I may have!Cheers!

Pete knows his job well Vee Dubs are his speciality. I've seen what he and the other mechanic are capable of & that's the place to go if you props with a Vee Trouble you!

I've been taking my beetle to Custom Vee Dub for over 3 years now and have had nothing but the best service possible. Peter and the boys have bent over backwards to give me the best service and workmanship around.I booked my beetle in for a general service and was told the amount up front and I asked the guys to go over the car and check for any other issues, I received a call from Peter informing me a tyrerod end was buggered and needed to be replaced. He gave me the price then and there which was very reasonable and I told him to go ahead and replace the part which was done at the same time as the service.I've used many different mechanical shops over the years and Custom Vee Dub stands out as a great mechanical shop in every way.The guys at Custom Vee Dub have help me out more than a few times over the last couple of years and kept my VW running sweet, I wouldn't send my beetle to anyone else.If you own Volkswagen you have to have a chat to these guys and like me I'm sure you'll not only be happy but you'll be going back for the guys to take care of your pride and joy.Thanks Custom Vee Dub for everything.

I booked my 69 kombi in for lowering the suspension work, agreed on the price and was prepared to pay extra if needed. After picking the old girl up, the suspension was already bottomed out in the stops with little or no travel at all. When I got her home, I needed to lift her back up, I removed the spring plates my self to find that they had put the old torsion bushes back in that where totally flogged out and the torsion bar covers so badly rusted they had rusted to the outside and wouldn't allow new bushes to fit! Pretty poor workmanship and pretty slack to not have replaced essential parts like bushes and cover plates when clearly they needed to be! I paid $1600 for nothing more than pulling the spring plates out and moving them around on the torsion bar! The front suspension had new adjustable torsion adjusters, no big deal to weld in, again they left the work without adjusting shocks or bump stops and the wheels rubbing on the guards . I wouldn't go back because I couldn't trust them to do a good and thorough job.

I have a stock 1962 Beetle and Peter has always looked after my Beetle and which looks after me. I leave my Beetle with Peter with confidence. Very competent in his work, highly recommend.
