Fishermans wharf Seafood

Bought the seafood chowder today as we love a good chowder, but the watery slop that thawed wasn’t worth eating. Not a prawn, not a piece of fish, just a few bits of celery and I think a piece of potato.Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I bought 3 bugs and I had to throw all 3 away they tasted horrible and the smell was unbearable. I also bought tiger prawns out of 20 we could only eat half, not fresh at all. Very upsetting.

As soon as you walk into freshmans Wharf, you smell the fresh ocean and seafood, it is so clean and the seafood is well presented, the staff are friendly and helpful. My photos aren’t the best because the family were so quick to start eating the Morton Bay Bugs, Mud Crabs, cooked Tiger Prawns and Fresh Tiger Prawns. We barbecued the fresh Tiger Prawns with just olive oil, salt & pepper then melted garlic butter on them and they were absolutely delicious. The rest of the seafood was enjoyed with just lemon and we tried their delicious homemade sauces. The seafood was so fresh, we only had a handful of Tiger Prawns left over for the next day so we made sandwiches with the Prawns, lettuces and their seafood sauce, that would have to be the best sandwich. The claws in the Mud Crab were full of mouth watering crab meat, we holiday here every year and I’ve tried other places but take my word for it, the freshest is at fisherman’s wharf and next door is their take away shop where you can buy their cooked seafood. Prices are reasonable and worth it for the quality. Rob the owner is a local and I love supporting local business especially when they stock Australian sourced seafood.

Staff were friendly and nice, but the oysters were a bit bland

Paid $70 for 2 small grilled barramundi & 1serve of chips and 6 prawns.....and the fish was cold.... at least we now know..

As a pensioner price is important. So $79.90 for a lobster tail! $160.00 for two to celebrate Valentines Day with my wife of fifty two years, you must be joking! What a rip off. One place we will most definitely not return to.

Had friends visiting this week, decided to make a prawn salad. Saw the sign fresh local prawns" so bought half a kilo
