Nsw Cat Fanciers Association

By far the worst organisation. I bought a cat from an breeder that is still registered with CFA. When I had brought a serious matter to their attention that one of their members are not following their codes of ethics and not to mention selling sick in bred cats they completely dismissed my complaint and still allow this breeder to continue selling sick cats. This organisation is a joke. How many kittens will suffer before you take complaints seriously?

I contacted them to ask about filing a complaint against one of their members (basically abandoned a cat at 18 months old because she couldn't pop out $1200 kittens for the breeder - when I was called in, she was underweight, dehydrated, covered in bindis, flea dirt and dags, with multiple wounds, and the breeder was still the registered owner). The admin, Sharryn, is the breeder's buddy and immediately started trying to justify/defend the breeder, then immediately contacted her to warn her. I didn't bother filing the complaint. I wouldn't trust anyone associated with this organisation.

Great communication, Sharyn is so efficient and professional.Never too much trouble to answer questions or help. Absolutely wonderful

Regarding cruelty complaints it is a job for the RSPCA , not the NSWCFA. I had a woman lodge a complaint against me because she got a kitten which needed an operation 4 months later. She would not give me the number for the vet. Breeders are not vets. We do not have crystal balls. I find the things this woman is saying about a breeder with a starving dehydrated flea ridden cat hard to believe. Sour grapes. Alisson Tyra may not be sound of mind.This woman lives in Melbourne probabky btw . I checked her reviews. Ms. Tyra. She is not even in NSW.
