River Island Nature Retreat
Have not been to River Island Nature Retreat for a long time now. Very much used to enjoy relaxing there and I helped promote the resort via the river island nature retreat website.Of course, I remember times when naturism" was gaining popularity but I got involved when it had past its peak.I have now not been asked to update the River Island activities for quite some time and haven't been surprised

River Island Nature Retreat
What a great friendly place. Felt very welcome and relaxed. Left my wallet in caravan, was posted back to me in a secure packaging. Lot of long term people that have been going for years made ya feel welcome and made sure i was Included. Nice hot showers. Spa was great place to meet all of the campers. Will be back. Thank you guys.

Had a great time nice drive down in a toyota coaster bus towing a 8 foot by 11 foot loaded trailer.Day fees are reasonable camping fees great pools showers all in the day fees. Read prices on Web site carefully if you don't understand them call to clarify. Experience of alive time will go again. Was given a tow and help to get back out.

Overpriced. Don't believe the advertising, not 4 spas only 2, sauna hardly ever on. Owners seem like they'd prefer not to have customers. Great trawling for gay males.Lovely scenery. Beautiful river, loads of wildlife. Make sure you've got the right car to get in.

River Island Nature Retreat
My favourite place to hang out in nature. Accommodation in cabins, on-site vans or camping. Pool, spas, clean ablutions blocks. Great river for swimming, boating or fishing. Thousands of acres of natural bush to explore on foot on your doorstep. Do as much or as little as you like, but you will come home totally recharged. Reasonable charges. Highly recommended.

River Island Nature Retreat
Its a great little spot to relax. The main pool area and facilities are very good. They have two pools and two heated spas. There are outdoor showers and BBQ spots all over the park. Its basically a caravan park in the middle of nowhere which is the attraction. There is no phone coverage and no internet. For me this was a blessing. The track down is a bit rough in places but you can get in with a normal car if you take it easy. Its a nude retreat.Its not mandatory to be nude but most people are. If Nudity offends then this place is not for you. The only real criticism i have is that the accommodation is a bit expensive for whats on offer. Everything is clean and tidy but some of the cabins and vans are a bit dated. I enjoyed my stay and definitley plan to go again.

BEWARE! This can turn out to be an expensive weekend if you don't study the pricing schedule properly. Also, this is a clothing optional retreat (we didn't take the option).Having said that, it's a beautiful place and my partner and I heartily recommend it. I dealt with Katina who was really lovely and very accommodating. We all felt relaxed and at home in short order.We had an unpowered campsite for, unfortunately, only one night and everyone in our party enjoyed themselves so much we were all very reluctant to leave. Lovely river-front site, handy portaloos and bins close by (but not too close).The drive into the retreat would probably be most comfortably done in a 4wd but was managed in a Holden Astra in low gear.Lots of exploring available for 4WDers, we had a blast wandering around on the other side of the river and seeing all the wildlife. Big thumbs up.

Well kept facilities. Staying with friends so I didn't get to experience the available accommodation available from the retreat management but understand most people are happy with the class of accommodation chosen. The access road isn't the best in wet weather however - use 4wd if possible.

Great place. Staff and patrons very pleasant and grounds are fabulous. Really back to nature.Excellent place to go if family members aren't nudist as no pressure to undress.Been both as single and married and equally as welcome.
