Although throughout most of the year, FIDO, does not have his Christmas balls in place, he is till a respected and loved local land mark. I wish the council would repair his bark.

It wags it's tail and has glowing eyes at night. Sometimes I've heard it cluck like a chicken

This Fairfield Industrial Dog Object (FIDO) is a trojan-horse style dog first launched on April Fool's day, 2000. It's constructed from recycled hardwood and standing 5.5 metres tall and approximately 8 metres long, it really is massive. Although much debated at first because of its $50,000 cost, it's now an iconic and very much loved local landmark and being an item on the now more than 150 of Australia's Big Things, it has also become part of a cult phenomenon!

The big tail wags, the ears move, occasionally it barks/clucks like a chicken - so much to love
