Desperately needed a coffee,a stop to get our bearings. Found this lovely General Store. Great chat & friendly service by Jo,the new owner.Would definitely return on our way back.

This store overcharged my card by $30, I noticed and called the same day, staff immediately knew what I was referring to (so they either knew it happened at the time and said nothing or this is a common occurrence? Ripping off customers and hoping they don't notice?!). I was told to come in the next (Saturday) morning as owners would be there. Went there ~10 am Saturday and was told I wasn't early enough so owners had left already(?!) . Was offered three ten dollar bills in a used baggie(during a pandemic), I declined and requested I be refunded to my card. Told this was not possible, I knew this was a lie so I began dialling my bank to just reverse the transaction at which point was told it was able to be done and also accused of being 'rude'. Tried to explain I was not being rude, that I'd been very reasonable in waiting and then driving twenty minutes on my own time to resolve a problem they had 100% caused by overcharging my card, but I would rather not spend another 30 minutes of my weekend hanging out in what is basically a servo that doesn't sell petrol and could we just do my refund so I could go about my day. Piss poor attitude, piss poor customer service, the staffs reaction and response to the whole thing makes me think this must be a regular occurrence for them, check your receipts if you go to this store.

Food is fresh and we'll presented, with good variety. Their coffee is excellent, especially the Dirty Hippy coffee.Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, cosy little venue for a quick lunch or morning teas.Nice to have home made style food at great prices.
