Aspect Caloundra

I booked a one bedroom for a 4 night getaway and specifically asked (as stated on their bookings page that it could be done) for a room with a nice view (referring to their bookings advice that water views were available on some rooms just ask when booking). I arrive and my room as no such water view at all, just a view of some old units. I emailed the staff while staying there only to receive an apology email which stated that I should have rung when booking to make this request (noting this isn’t stated on the website about the bookings either). One would think that even when booking online, and there is a section for any special requests in there, that that information would then be physically seen by someone and then acted upon. I was given numerous excuses as to why it didnt occur, but not the offer of a discounted stay if I was to return again, which I will not now.

The resort is clean, facilities are well looked after, apartment is big and staff is friendly. A little overpriced for what you get. The apartment we stayed was a little tired and needed some maintenance, simple fixes that should not have been overlooked, and would have made our stay a lot more comfortable. The bedroom TV did not work. The ensuite blind was broken so we couldn't undress or get out of the shower or use the bathtub without being seeing by the neighbours. Not ideal as you can never get comfortable or use what you paid for.It would have been nice to have some bodywash provided as the soap dish in the shower was also broken and there was nothing to hold the soap bar. No holder on the sink as well.There was enough utensils in the kitchen but trying to use the frying pan was a mission, a non-stick frying pan would have been helpful. The potential is there but the apartment needs a little love and attention to detail for the asking price.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly and helpful staff.Would highly recommend.

Aspect apartments were beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. Excellent location between Bulcock and Kings beaches. We’ll be back.

Best views, central position, walk to everything. Room we had was unbelievable, had everthing and more, even Wine Refrigerator.

I don’t recommend this resort. We stayed in a 3brm apartment for 2 nights at $495 per night. Staff were nice and friendly at check in and the apartment appeared nice and clean. We went out to enjoy Caloundra and returned after the office had closed. It was then we noticed some things. No body wash, no dishwashing liquid, no dishwasher tablets. A laundry sink full of dirty towels and no washing powder. Then the kids had a bath and it leaked out through the wall, drenching the carpet in the main bedroom. Water was over the top of my toes while standing on the carpet, and it had leaked all the way around into the wardrobe. I used every towel in the place, including the dirty ones left there to try and soak it up, went out to Woolies to buy the things that were missing and made the best of it. The next morning I reported the issues to the front desk and the staff were surprised and said they’d fix it while we were out. A plumber resealed the drain but we don’t believe that was the issue, so good luck to the people checking in after us. Returning that afternoon, the carpet had been vacuumed, but was still damp. And the SMELL! Oh my god, it was like sleeping with a wet dog. There were some safety issues worth mentioning, we were on the 11th floor and none of the 3 sliding doors out to the balcony had pull down locks up the top to keep kids safe. All doors could’ve been opened by a 2 year old, and the kids bedroom had a door to a balcony with furniture. The first thing my daughter did was pull a chair over to the railing to stand on it and look over the edge! We ended up moving the desk over the door in her room to ensure that she wouldn’t open it during the night, and hoped she wouldn’t think of opening the other two doors. None of the doors or windows had screens either. The windows couldn’t be opened fully, however things could easily have been thrown out. Not the relaxing holiday we had hoped for, especially for the price we paid.

We needed to extend our stay in Caloundra and our stay stretched from one week to four. The staff, in particular Justine, were so helpful and did everything they could to make sure our stay went as smoothly as possible. We had a fabulous apartment on the 7th floor. It was beautifully presented and appointed, the beds were so comfortable and the views from out two balconies were extraordinary. A really fantastic place to stay and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at Apartment 1021 wow we will be back we had an amazing stay massive wraparound balcony if your travelling with kids book this one amazing . Lovely complex clean pool areas tennis fabulous thanks aspect !
