3 years ago we use to come to the ivory a few times a week. Now I go back every 6 months to see if the old menu and chef is back! It went from the best pub food in Australia to very very poor 2 years ago. The venu got better but the food sucks. Also the prices went up, expect better or similar food. Great location for a drink. Such a shame. We’d love to go back a few times a week. We miss the old ivory! I had My birthday there, every and any excuse for a meal and a drink. Please please bring the old menu and chef back

I have not visited the Ivory for several years because of terrible service and even worse poured beer.Today a work mate and I stopped in for a few after work. The service was great. The servers were quick, efficient, courteous, helpful and poured a good beer.And not once were my mate or I neglected in favour of an Ivory regular who fronted the bar after we had. Which, by the way, has often been the usual thing in the past at the Ivory.

Always a lovely spot to catch up and watch the activity on the beautiful river. This time we both ordered the burgers. They were dry, overcooked and bland.

We were walking around the area looking for ice cream for the kids while on our walk. We came across this place and ordered a rainbow sunday for $11 so i brought 2 . I had asked if we could have it takeaway and they popped it into plastic containers. They don't do takeaway desserts but they did for us. So thankful for that as the kids enjoyed it and it kept them happy & quite during the walk back. We also checked out there little arcade and I found it so cool they this area. I also love the outdoor area by the water its a shame we didn't stop here to have lunch. I will be back if I'm ever down this way again .

Nice setting near the river, pity the food and service lacked so terribly. Probably only good for a drink near the river, save your money if hungry! From the $46 steak that was way overcooked and as tough as old boots (supposed to be medium) to the packet steggles chicken nuggets for the kids with cold fries, the food was a joke to say the least. Then on to service which clearly cater to the local folk who 'know the drill' and any questions are met with a dismissive attitude. Pity as its a nice spot...avoid!

We made an unplanned stop here when the brewery we’d planned to visit was closed. The food was good, and cocktails were good. The outside seating area had a nice feel/view and we really enjoyed the visit.

First time there, what a Great Location, right on the Teranora Inlet. Large outside deck with plenty of covered areas for that quiet drink or a meal. There is also air conditioning dining inside, would recommend making a reservation if dining inside on the weekend. The kitchen opens at 11-30am. Now, at the first glance of the menu, I thought it looked a little expensive But, the food was wonderful, my partner had Rump Steak, Salad and Chips, which came out spot on, now I had the Salt and Pepper Calamari, Salad and Chips, just mouth watering and cooked to perfection. Will we be going back, you bet, the quality of the food justified the price. Now the Good News is, they have a lunchtime special menu Monday to Friday inclusive for just $22 a meal and yes the Salt and Pepper Calamari is there. To help out they do have Children Meals. If you haven't been there yet, make the effort. Colin

Had lunch here today. Pork cutlet was delicious. The 1/2 lime chicken was also as good and wow the crunchy potatoes i really enjoyed. Great view and atmosphere.

UPDATED REVIEW!Wow!! The Ivory Tavern has really stepped up its game.Staff are polite and funny with a lot of personality and genuinely are happy to be at work and serve you. (Well our female bar tender on 01/01/23 @ 12:30pm was anyway).Went in for a work lunch with the ladies and honestly, I’ve avoided going back here as I’ve not really been a fan of the food.BUT….HOLD UP…WHATS THIS???New additions to the menu…fresh, delicious, eye catching food. Polite and charismatic chef willing to change the menu up for me to enjoy a fish burger? And then the dishes the other ladies ordered came in…JELOUS MUCH?!The Caesar SaladThe Buddha bowl (not sure of name but it was green, fresh, feta, quinoa etc.)Crumbed Prawn Roll with lettuce and tomato and aioliSteak sandwichThe reason I remember the other orders is only because as each one was put down I wanted to change my order hahaSee below for a stand out salmon tostada thingy.
