Great free camp by the side of the dam. Shame about the idiots that leave their rubbish behind.

Beautiful scenic spot on the edge of Glen Mervyn Dam. Clean water for swimming and boating but gets very busy on long weekends and school holidays, so plan to visit outside these times for the most tranquil experience. BYO chemical toilet.

Very lovely peaceful free camp. Water level a little low at the moment but still swans & ducks enjoying it.Drop toilet available but we had our own so can't comment. Do not follow Google maps directions when you get off main road. As you come onto dirt track which is slightly corrugated, go past 2 large industrial rubbish bins on right, go past them. There is a track to left, probably not good for large caravans but there's another on left just up a little further. Use that track for caravans as you'll follow that around for bout 300mtrs until you see another track on your left which takes you to waters edge with plenty of room. Google maps takes you up further, also on left, with a sign basically saying, restricted access". Very rutted & washed out but a good 4wd track if you're not towing. Can definitely hear traffic from main road & for us

What a grouse free camp!Water is low at the moment so plenty of room for everyone. No one parked near us so it felt really private. Close to Collie as well. The drop toilet did absolutely stink though :(

Lovely spot for camping in amongst the trees, water skiing and just generally relaxing. Almost no facilities so be self contained, bins and long drop toilets well maintained by DBCA. Beware of jet skis being used illegally, report to DoT. And don't bother after Boxing Day - really busy.

Beautiful spot with camping on the western side of the dam. Plenty of shade. Very limited access for caravans. Tents or offroad camper trailer recommended. Facilities are limited to 1 'long drop' toilet. Great spot if you dont mind being self sufficient.
