Optus Elsternwick

Jessie was rude and unhelpful. Walked in and he was sitting on his phone drinking a coffee. He didn’t want to assist me with purchasing a new phone and told me to go back to the store I was at yesterday (Northland S/C). I will not be going back and would give zero stars if that was an option. Unbelievable customer service Optus not impressed.

Store manager was rude when asking questions about pricing, didn't introduce himself, was on his phone and seemed more annoyed we were bothering him from his phone.He then palmed us off to a staff member the second they were finished with a sale, so we had to wait a few (probably closer to 5) awkward minutes sitting there while the staff member ignored us due to doing data entry.I ended up looking at my phone for pricing, went across the road to Officeworks instead.Optus seemed genuinely disinterested in discussing outright options or even prepaid, and were only interested in upselling when discussing plan options.Terrible service, especially from the manager, I won't be back. This had been my go to store for phones for over a decade.

One star, and that's too generous! Rude, arrogant, unhelpful staff make this place a bad experience. I won't tar all the staff with this negative brush, for there are exceptions, but have encountered so many who are contemptuously unhelpful, speaking down to the customer with a problem and leaving him/her just as baffled as when he/she went in. They humiliate the customer in front of others, whether intentionally or not, and, if there are customers waiting, call out to assure them that they won't be long attending to them even when the hapless customer they are supposedly attending to is still speaking to them. At least one staff member talks a million words a minute so that it's impossible to understand them anyway!

I am so good with phones and computers... spent hours (literally!) trying to connect a new SIM. No chance! Went here and it was done in 5 minutes! Staff were amazing (don't try the online 'help'!!!), helpful, knew their stuff. Should have gone to them first up!

Store was friendly to me but they seemed super mean to a lot of other people in there. The lady manager seemed to be on her phone a lot and not really caring about what customers needed help. maybe the only can be kind to one customer at a time and i got lucky?

5 stars for customer service! I didn't get the sale's person's name (apology), but she was happy to help me as an unexpected walk in today 5 minutes before closing without making me feel I had to rush regardless of buying or not. Thank you!

Absolutely appalling service!! Store manager at Optus Elsternwick was rude & raising her voice at me in front of customers ( as a new customer). Both times I came in, the manager seemed distracted, disengaged and disinterested in actually helping.Terrible service, especially from the manager, won't be back.Do not use Optus - Terrible service - apart from waiting over an hour to actually get some service.

Disappointing service. No interest in helping me. No greeting when I entered the store and felt like being there was a bother. I was made feel like my query was just too hard. No manager was available so was told come back another day or I would have to go to another store. I eventually found another store myself that also didn’t have a manager on duty but they had no problem helping me.

I went to the shop to upgrade my phone plan. Daniel greeted me and as me to have a seat and he would be with me in a minute. There was an older fellow waiting and Daniel treated him beautifully. Took the time to explain things, and got him sorted. The man was delighted and shook his hand.. I thought if my elderly father was treated like that I would be delighted.Well done son, you truly understand customer service.I was touched and so were the 4 other people there.

I’ve had to go to this Optus store a few times, and every time has been similarly terrible. I quite like Optus in general, but this store is the pitts.
