Troopers Rest
Lovely staff. We arrived just after 2 so lunch was finished but they had some quiche left. They were great value. Staff were very apologetic and bubbly. They regaled us with the history of the building. Very interesting. Can't wait to try them for dinner.

A lovely cafe restaurant - with Fisher River Roasters coffee. Good breakfast, lovely welcoming and prompt service. Lunch menu looked good too. Verandah is cool and shady and inside is newly renovated and attractive. Heritage atmosphere. The owner mentioned truffles will be featured on the menu as they have a truffle farm

Awesome experience. We had a caesar salad and a ploughman's platter and they were both devine. Service was really responsive and so so friendly.

Loved this restaurant food was 1st class just like the service from very friendly staff.Beautiful warm fires and nice cold beer.Would go back when next down there.

A cut above the usual in Braidwood. Prices are excellent, the chefs create new treats and dishes every time I go (bought their entire stock of muffins the other day), and the hosts are welcoming. Love the historical vibe.

A really cozy relaxing space. We had a delicious dinner and then came back for coffee and home made banana bread in the morning. Bravo chef!

Lovely newly renovated restaurant with good atmosphere. I had the hamburger and chips for $16. The steak sandwich and chips was $18. The hamburger was excellent. The patty was juicy and perfectly pink in the middle. Chips were the best I have ever eaten. The steak sandwich also looked great. Food was very good quality though possibly slightly too much mayonnaise for my liking.

Lovely staff and great food!The mashed avo + bacon was very filling! Partner got the Italian scrambled eggs and only had good things to say!Long black was a little bitter but my mocha was good.Most adorable little cafe will definitely be back!

We stayed in Braidwood for a two day event, and looking for a place for dinner, we noticed the charming, historical cottage at the edge of town.It turned out to be a wonderful experience. Welcoming staff and tasty dishes in a beautiful setting made for a great night.With many interesting dishes to choose from, we decided on the spot to come back the next night for another great experience.
