Huawei

Never EVER will I buy another Huawei phone. I bought a new G8 for $500, and within about 6 months of very light use, the rear (main) facing camera started to buzz very loudly, and shake, as per the example. The front (selfie) facing camera had no issues, and the phone was in as new condition. They replaced it for me (finally) with what I suspect was a reconditioned phone, and now, after almost no use (I bought a good quality Samsung for my main ohone), I find the camera is doing the same thing. I could not be bothered pressuring them to replace it again, because a) I would likely have an argument about it being out of warranty, and b) they would probably send me a refurbished" phone again. This is my personal experience with the Huawei company. I have used multiple devices from phones such as P6, P7, P9, Mate 10 pro, mate 20 pro, Huawei matebook x laptop, and routers. All the products I have to admit to performing superbly, but the problem starts when you have a problem. This was the case I stopped using Huawei product in 2014 as there was lack of communication with software updates etc. I started to use them again in 2017 and had no issues until recently when I broke my screen. I have tried to contact their support centers through their Hicare application, and I did chat with some great guys promising all information I never got. It wasn’t their fault, but probably some communication issue in the company. I have requested a quote for screen repair without success. After two chats and promises, no information was provided after four days. Then I rang their repair center partner, and they quote me with $490 for a screen replacement with turnaround up to 2 weeks. Just for a comparison Samsung galaxy, s9 was $200 by Samsung which normally takes 24hours. So please consider this review to make you a decision to invest in their products.

The phone is good, but there is no backup service.Bought the P8 with the promise of free screen replacement if it ever broke in the first year. Provided proof of purchase, went through the long winded crap they put you through, promised to fix the problem, and haven't heard back from them.No problem with the phone, just don't expect them to give a rat's arse if you have a problem.Look for a brand with good after sales record.Definately not Huawei.

Hi.In the past excellent service especially with the technical support.. Today blast in the face. I spoke with the store manager day earlier over the phone about latest x2 phone. He said that the olded XS model is no longer available. I decided to visit the store to buy $5k of the phone. What was my surprise that the genuine Huawei store didn't allow me to check the phone. I was advised that the phone is in the box. So it is like buying cat" in the box without knowing which color

Would not waste my money on another Huawei mobile phone. Only two phones I've ever had break down on me, and customer service is... just 'robots' who respond with crap like thank you for choosing Huawei"

Never buy this brand. I bought a Nova 2 Lite brand new and had nothing but trouble with it. The call volume was too low and this is the fault in design but huawei would never admit to it. Kept saying send back to our technician. In the end they replaced the phone. Same problem. I spent $300 on this phone. A complete waste of my money. Will never buy this brand again. I was gifted a p30 from my partner.. And then its screen went a little iffy. I was searching for someone to do my phone but everyone was station 600 plus. Which hurt me to tell my partner because he got me a car that same week. So he was catching up with bills.. We messaged via messenger and got a reply AS soon as possible. And now it's getting fixed... Ive been a Huawei user for about 2 years now. And never look back to apple or Samsung.. I also have a y6 as a backup.. Which works perfectly still.

Battery life, size and features make them unbeatable value. Will never go back to Samsung or migrate to Apple. Don't want to carry a battery for my battery. My kids both have one and I've gone from Mate 7 to Mate 9.

Excellent phone PROVIDED you buy it from legitimate sources with manufacturer's warranty. Do not buy from dodgy online shops like eGlobal Digital Cameras which only provide seller's warranty for refurbished products that you have to ship overseas at your own cost for repair. Two words to remember: Manufacturer's warranty!

Their new update on emui has made my phone slow, I cannot use wifi hotspot and also made my battery to discharge faster..This is really cunning. They aren't even going to get Google anymore, still they do such unprofessionalism.One customer who was with Huawei since Huawei ascend mate 7 till now will no longer buy any Huawei products...l..
