Reefsleep - Cruise Whitsundays

Another 5 star review for Reefsleep, which was the absolute highlight of our 42 day vacation. Huge shout out to Paddy, the skipper who ran the entire event and was laughing so hard when I collapsed on top my husband in the dingy! He was always smiling, ensuring everyone's safety and mingling with the guests. Then there was dive master Josh, who literally changed my life. I took the first and second dives as he was so kind, encouraging and knowledgeable! As I said, it was life changing! We loved Kim, Nicole and Paige as well, they were staff but they became friends in under 24 hours and they made the trip truly a trip of a lifetime. That said, if you are looking for a good nights sleep, this is not the place; there's too much beauty and awe to sleep!Oh, forgot to mention that during the day when the day guests are there, the food is okay, but once they leave, the food and drink flows and it is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious and food sensitivities and allergies were no problem! Everything was delish. Can you imagine doing your first dive at the Great Barrier Reef, eating an incredible dinner with new friends and then spending the rest of the night gazing at the brilliant stars? INCREDIBLE! DO IT!

It was amazing!!! Totally worth all the money! You get an incredible and unforgettable experience! Special thanks to Grant, Paige and Kym for being the best staff ever it was amazing! And the chef has out done herself!

An unforgettable experience!! 11/10. A few highlights included seeing the sunrise and sunset in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, the food and drink service was excellent, and Andy our host also pointed out the Milky Way and used an ultraviolet light to show us the coral on the side of the mooring at night, these were particularly special. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

We had the most amazing time at ReefSleep. Service from all the staff/crew was outstanding! All were exceptionally friendly and willing to assist in any way they could to make the stay memorable for guests. Food was incredible and plentiful... the views breathtaking.Would absolutely recommend the experience to anyone looking for something a little bit special on their next holiday. We will definitely be back as soon as we can.

We would recommend reef sleep to any couple who looking for a romantic getaway. The crews and the facilities are all excellent. The food are like restaurant fine dinning and extremely yummy. There are abundant of foods drinks for everyone and anytime. Andy and his crews are cheerful and extremely helpful to everyone and everything. You can do a lots of activities throughout the day or do nothing and chill on the deck. We have a wonderful time and we would love to come back one day.

Incredible experience. Cannot recommend this highly enough!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Amazing food, the service was VIP and 5 star from the moment you step onto the vessel to depart. Staying in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, having access to extra activities, under water photos of the experience and sleeping on the reef was mind blowing. Thank you for an incredible unique experience.Friendly, helpful staff and amazing chef!Would love to do a similar reef stay with kids if they tacked on that option.

This was such an amazing experience! The whole team - on the boat, the dive team and over night on the pontoon - have been so nice and welcoming. The part of the reef the pontoon is located is buzzing with life, so snorkeling and diving is great. The reefsleep beds are comfy and there is enough storage space. The served food was delicious and we never went hungry or thirsty.

This was the highlight of our trip. Sure the bed isn't the most comfortable but my good the food, all inclusive drinks and the serenity of being on the reef without the chaos of the day guests were amazing. We lucked out with great weather and the other guests staying over were lovely as well. If you're thinking whether its worth the money, i'd say it definitely is.

The day visit itself was fabulous and would highly recommend to go out for the day! We had booked the reef sleep - there was no secure place to leave bags (just on chairs on the top deck which the public had access to) and poor weather (strong winds and heavy rain) There’s no inside areas, only some undercover areas and insufficient block out rain blinds as well, so all our belongings got wet. As we were checking in, the staff were running out in their wet weather trench coats putting the tent wet weather toppers on to ensure the tents stayed dry. The staff members had to then warn us that the weather would be getting worse through the night and continuing into the next day so the ‘night under the stars’ would no longer happen with the wet weather cover staying on the whole night. We asked the staff members what our options were and they said that they would either rebook us or give us a partial refund if we could we’re not able to rebook if we decided to leave. As we weren’t able to rebook and the team assured us that a partial refund would be possible, we got back on the boat and headed back to Airlie. Once we arrived in airlie they let us know that because we decided to leave that a refund would not be possible. We were then asked to email the operations manager and she had ‘investigated’ the situation and made it out that we had lied and that no one on the boat had said anything about a partial refund. This left us back in Airlie with no accomodation and out of pocket $700 for 2 people. Quite disappointed that Cruise Whitsundays choose money over customer experience when it is a trip of a lifetime. Just be prepared if you do end up doing the Reef sleep and the weather is miserable - you have to stick it out or lose your money!

My partner and I have done someAmazing things in our lives.We both agreed that this is in the Top 5 experiences we have had!The Reef Suite was simply amazing. Unlike anything else we had ever done. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom modern and the view from the window was other worldly.Andy and his team’s level of customer service was exemplary and matching a 5 star boutique experience.The snorkelling and diving experiences were superb and the other guests (about 14 guests in total) were almost all Wonderful and interesting.The dinner far surpassed my expectations as well.Having this pontoon and the reef almost to yourself (except for a few hours each day when the big ship comes in) is special, decadent and a privilege.There is also an option for helicopter flights from there too.Thank you Andy and team for one of the hilights from my life to date.I cannot recommend this highly enough
