If you love Japanese food, you know that rice is the ingredient that make or break your dish. I like that their sushi rice is fresh and soft (above my expectation for a local joint at this price range!)I ordered their sushi bowl with shoyu salmon and teriyaki mayo (for $15). I think it tastes good! Would be nice if they allow me to order more than one main (and didn't mind paying).Friendly staff, clean environment, opens on Saturday. Definitely recommend other locals to come for a light lunch.

Bought takeaway sushi/nigiri box at the end of the day. Tasted okay (freshness); tuna nigiri was starting to go stale but still tasty. Aburi and sashimi nigiri both tasted reasonable. Pricing - slightly on the higher end (dragon roll with sashimi nigiri was 17.50; tuna roll with aburi about 12). Staff were helpful and friendly; also gave a small discount as towards end of day. Overall a good neighbourhood place to get a quickfix for sushi/meal.N.b. Yet to try the udon/non sushi/sashimi/nigiri or sit in the shop.

3.5/5. New Japanese joint located on Beecroft Road (next to Two Jay’s burger). They serve ready made sushi rolls, boxes, spam musubi and DIY rice bowls.You pick the type of rice, your choice of protein (soy marinated salmon, plain salmon, spicy salmon, tuna, etc), your sides (edamame, onions, avocado, tobiko, etc), and sauce. My bowl came down to about $15-$16. Loved the spicy mayo which had a great kick.Would’ve been great if they had a couple of ‘pre-selected’ options that we could pick from as it took me awhile to decide.Nigiri’s we’re pretty pricey ($3-$3.5 per piece from memory).

Great place. Very nice customer service and the idea of a customisable sushi bowl to your liking is smart not to mention cheap and cost effective as well. 100% recommend to other students looking for a quick snack or people just looking for something new
