Lovely tourist office with very helpful staff. I was very surprised to learn that this 'RV Friendly Town' has no refill water available for caravans. The lady at the visitor centre offered for us to refill at their rainwater tank, however it is clear this is their operational water and so it seems unsustainable for travellers like us to use it - I politely declined! Elliston Council needs to consider a sustainable water refill solution. We filled tanks at a paid station in Streaky Bay ($1 for 25l) and were happy to do so, rather than go without water at all. Water is essential if you want to retain that 'RV Friendly' status and have visitors stay awhile to spend their $$$ in town. Otherwise this town seems to have beautifully-maintained facilities and public areas and feels very welcoming. Well done on that front!
