Ocean Foods DrummoyneI’ve heard good things about this place.The first time I went for a take away meal it was really delicious and the seafood prawn salad was so good, tasted really fresh. The prawn and scallops skewers was flavourful. The customer service was decent on a busy day.The second time I went the food tasted poor quality with having to pay for sauce. Furthermore the cashier was very impatient and slightly rude. He charged the wrong amount with the wrong salad and when I confronted him he seemed slightly annoyed even tho it was a quiet day.Overall I wouldn’t be coming back here as it’s overpriced and bad experience the second time round.

The restaurant offers a variety of seafood, including fish, prawns, oysters etc among other options.However, I must say that I found the overall quality of the food to be a bit average. While the seafood was fresh, I was not particularly impressed with the taste of the dishes I ordered. Additionally, I found the prices at Ocean Foods to be quite high and felt that the portions were not particularly generous, especially considering the cost.Despite these concerns, the service at Ocean Foods was friendly and attentive.Overall, while I appreciate the effort that Ocean Foods puts into providing fresh seafood options, I cannot recommend the restaurant due to the high prices and average quality of the food. I believe there are better options available in the area that offer better value for the cost.

Just love Ocean Foods. My family has been coming here for years and won't go elsewhere for fish and chips or seafood. We're never disappointed. Mary and the staff are always pleasant and the eat in area is fantastic, choose in or outdoors. Finish off your eat in meal with a tea or coffee. Fabulous!!

Nice food but the price of a salmon,chips & small Greek salad at $40+ is ridiculous. I’m not sure I’ve come across another fish shop that doesn’t have at least a salmon and salad or salmon and chips combo. I was completely shocked at the price! I would expect to pay that in a restaurant on a eastern suburbs beach like Bondi.

4.5 Stars. Beautiful store, excellent produce, great taste and friendly service. A fish and chippery can only be so good, but I can understand why this one is touted as one of the best in Sydney.The overall quality and feel of the restaurant is great, and the food is pretty damn good. I would love to go back and try some of the other items on the menu - such as the Lobster Mornay.Only qualm is pricing. Not sure if the value for money is there for many of the items on the menu, but the food quality does almost make up for it.

Very delicious, great variety and best of all they claim that all there seafood is sourced from Australia or New Zealand! In addition to all the seafood offered they have a great variety of salads and their sweet potatoes are nice and thickly cut. Services is fast considering how busy they are. The price of sauces are expensive though with a small container of tartar sauce $3. Their seating is limited but we have never had any issues getting a spot but I would recommend the short drive down to the water and eat there instead.

Have heard so much about this place & it did not disappoint. Huge menu & fresh seafood. Chips & sweet potato chips were both super crunchy & well seasoned. The battered fish crispy on the outside, tender & juicy inside, although slightly oily. Calamari rings were meaty with a delicious coating & the prawn cutlets were also delicious. Looking forward to trying more items & many more visits.

Quite pricey but you pay to support local produce which is is good, fish fillets such as barramundi are priced at just under $60/kg. I must say that its one of few seafood places that has local, Australian or NZ fish only, no overseas and Asian/farmed imports.

I've driven past this place over the years, and I finally had the chance to test their claim. It's nice fish and chips, but I wouldn't call it the best in town, let alone the universe!But what got me the most is that they charge you extra to eat at premises (as the prices on the menu board is for takeaway only), which is a first for me.

This is a seafood lovers paradise, endless variety and a good a la carte menu with some interesting options in there. Good seating inside and outside on the balcony, staff were friendly.We ordered grilled Barramundi with a side of chips and Greek salad. While I liked the use of chili on the grill it was too salty for my liking. The chips and Greek salad were fine.Prices are on the higher side for comparative shops.
