Kingaroy Country Motel

Room was clean. But never have I ever had the manager unlock the door on me while I was staying at a motel till this time. On the morning that I checked out, the manager was knocking on the door at about 7.45am. I was still in bed and she ended up unlocking the door on me just to ask me where my car was. I showed her where my car was and was told that it wasn't in the correct car space. I said that I had been out and didn't get back till late at night and that someone had parked in my parking space. I think this is hardly a reason to interrupt my privacy by unlocking my door and attempting to come in early in the morning I could have also been in the shower or toilet as to why I hadn't answered the door. If there was a concern about my car, they could have looked up my car rego details which were given at check in and she would have seen that I was still parked there. I also still hadn't returned the room key. I wouldn't consider just because I had parked in the wrong car space to be a vital reason to attempt to open an occupied room and question why I'm not parked in the correct spot. For an emergency regarding public safety would be a different matter.

Julie the Owner/ Manager has always been very accommodating and the cleaning staff are happy to assist with any questions and concerns about the rooms, the rooms are air-conditioned and perfect for travellers who are passing through, quit and sound proof.

My family of 5 stayed - 2 adults and 3 children and were accommodated perfectly into one room.The room was perfectly clean and tidy and the level of service was incredible.My children wanted to swim and staff were more than happy to take the pool cover off for them.Will be back for sure! Highly recommend, in town and close to everything.Thank you Kingaroy Country Motel for making our stay perfect!

I stayed 3 nights over Easter and it was perfect. The room was comfy and clean, the big ensuite too. The motel is conveniently located, close to shops and all. Easy to get out of town to explore the beautiful area. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. I don't understand why previously people would write nasty comments, they are not appropriate. This motel ticks all the boxes: location, price, service. Oh and the pool, was lovely to be able to have a dip!

This owner claims they were polite when in fact they were anything but. I acknowledged that I misunderstood the rules and removed my dog from the bed as soon as I realised my error and was accountable as I’m not afraid to own my mistakes however, I was treated with utter disdain, followed by not one but two extremely passive aggressive emails. This is actually the worst motel experience I have ever had. The worst part was that I watched this person STARING in the room through the window. I can’t begin to explain how this made me feel. When I confronted her about this she completely denied it. Even made a smart arse comment as she walked off.Enjoy your one star I wish I could give you less. Through this thread is a string of comments about your behaviour and attitude. Enough said. Wish I read these first.

Very nice. Clean & tidy. Stayed for a wedding in kingaroy and was perfect for our needs.

Kingarory Country hotel was like staying in my childhood home, in so much as my stay was governed by an erratic overbearing woman who told me to remove my shoes indoors, clean my room, limited my data and forbid me from having pets despite claiming that she loved animals and was pet friendly.There is a pool, so it is better than my childhood home, but there are a lot of documented pool rules, including NO BOARD GAMES in the pool- . The pool rules did not mention if I could piss in the pool or not, so I would have done so should I have not been so busy saving my monopoly set.To the wonderful cleaning staff who did an excellent job of being friendly and helpful- blink twice if you need rescuing, i have room in the boot.

Our place of choice when visiting Kingaroy for well over 7 years. Visted again a week ago. Lovely motel with all in-room necessities. Bed was great for a good night sleep. New bathroom. Even a dining table in front of the window. Plenty of parking and no street noise. Airco was appreciated as the night we stayed was cold and rainy. Extra pillows were available in the cupboard. Recommended and we will return.

Nice, convenient motel in Kingaroy. Easy parking in front of your rooms. Our family room was large with a bunk bed for the kids. Was too cold for the pool but had a nice dinner in the poolside hut. Everything was lovely and clean with dispensers in the shower so you don’t have to pack too much toiletries with you. Really nice stay and staff were lovely.
