I did the full day bee keeping course and found it highly insightful, educational and practical. If you have considered beekeeping as hobby, this course is great. Also Doug and Vicki have a wealth of knowledge and tips they have shared with me post the course as I have had further questions. Highly recommend the urban beehive.

I recently ordered 8 nuc's from Urban Beehive. They were installed by Vicky as I am new to bee keeping and wanted to learn from the install procedure. Vicky was very, very helpful and answered all questions. She also gave advice and also what to watch for until the top boxes are ready to be installed. Vicky is coming back in a month to assist with inspection of the new families I have and if its OK to install the Flow Hive 2 Top boxes to be installed so that the honey process can begin. I can not wait till that time. If any one out there is thinking of starting a bee family to assist your environment and community flower and trees as well as getting a good supply of 100% honey then you can not go better then using Urban Beehive for any of your start up boxes as well as any other tools, clothing , you name it they can help.

A huge thanks to Doug for supplying these amazing quality products. The boxes and frames are made of nice and thick pine. I have the bees in it now and they are loving it. The accessories that I got with the hive are amazing too. Recommended to anyone wanting good quality products at a competitive price. Will be back for more gear in the future.

This course is a must for anyone interested in bees or purchasing a beehive. We really enjoyed the course and learnt so much. Couldn't imagine embarking on our bee journey without the knowledge we walked away with!

A really worthwhile course for anyone considering bee keeping. You’ll get all your questions answered in an informative, well-structured and entertaining way. You’ll also get some hands on experience on a hive, seeing how all the components work and identifying the different bees. This course demystified bee keeping for me. I’d been considering it for a while and it’s given me the confidence to proceed with taking on a couple of hives. Nice people too!
