I’ve had a few singing lessons at DCS, Kathleen and Sam are excellent tutors not only do they have loads of industry experience, they have a genuine care factor for their students. Would highly recommend!

I enrolled my daughter in music lessons (singing, piano and songwriting) as an activity after she broke her wrist earlier in the year and was banned from sports and dance.It completely filled the void and she has embraced it so well that she is continuing with music even though her cast is now off and she is back at dance two afternoons a week.She has also moved her guitar lessons to Downtown as well - the studio really suits her.Sam and Kathleen and her teachers have been very flexible in adapting what she has been able to do and in growing her confidence.I'm looking forward to the concert in two weeks to see what this quiet little girl can do now she is in a 'rock band' with her BFF.

My boys have been learning piano at Downtown since 2019 and have been progressing beautifully under the tuition and lovely encouragement of their teachers.

What would we do without Downtown?! Kathleen and Sam have challenged my son and bought the absolute best out of him musically. They have given him multiple performance opportunities and continue to work closely with him to help him reach all his goals. Would highly recommend Downtown Creative Studios to everyone!

I just want to tell you about these two amazing people I have met. Kathleen and Samantha are just wonderful caring people. Kathleen is a top notch singing coach and you’ll get so much out of her and she is fun to work with. I had no singing experience at all, so I was quite nervous on my first day. She took some time to examine my voice and my breathing and then the singing started. I told her that I love gospel songs. After my first hour, I sang my first complete gospel song; I knew I’m in the right place. She is always reassuring and encouraging. I always leave her singing lessons feeling awesome and happy with an amazing sense of accomplishment and growth. She is adorable, kind and she make me laugh.Samantha is an incredible person; although I played the guitar (self-taught) I never understood the chord structures and strumming patterns. She was very patience and took time to explain to me the dynamics of guitar playing. She is fun ,energetic and gets straight to business knowing exactly where you need to start. She could make anyone feel confident about his/her guitar skills. She also taught me techniques in playing the harmonica and the ukulele. She is just a wonderful person to work with.Working with both of them has completely changed my life, I have found my joy and peace through playing and singing gospel music. I felt my music come to life, and these two terrific coaches has made it happen for me. They are genuine and down to earth. It is the best investment I have made. I started guitar lessons a few months ago with Sam @ Downtown Creative Studios and am loving it!!!!I am 54 yrs old and was a bit worried I was too old to learn to play Guitar.From the first meeting with Sam felt excited and inspired about my new creative outlet on my 'Bucket list' and where it will take me .I have come a long way in a short space of time and highy recommend Sam as a Guitar teacher.Lili Balen

Fantastic music school. So friendly, but best of all the teachers are so gifted and talented, which certainly shows in the way they teach their students. Will never go anywhere else!!!
