Wongabirrie Park
Wongabirrie park has a good playground with nature play elements and shade sails. It also benefits from a large grassed area, plenty of seating, rainwater taps and a gazebo if the weathers a bit average. In the southeastern corner of the lawned area is the trailhead for the arboretum walk, which has been planted with a variety of forestry specimen trees. If you head along the creek approximately two hundred meters, you can cross at a ford (beware if rocky river is flowing) and continue south on the eastern bank. The walk brings you out to onto the bitumen road, right alongside the trailhead for the Wirrabara rail trail. If you follow the bitumen road back around to the north, it will take you past the silo art, where you then have a choice to return the way you came, or walk back through the town centre and grab a cake at the bakery. The entire loop is approximately two kilometres.

Great community managed Park. The Progress Association and council have done a great job with the walking paths, playground and picnic areas

This is a quick walk that loops around to see the different wire art, it’s a good place to stretch the legs and the sculptures are pretty cool as you really have to look around to find them, like a treasure hunt. There is also a playground and seating areas for a picnic in the same park.“Jonique Life” If you find value in our reviews please consider following our social media outlets on Facebook and Instagram as we highlight magical places you can add to your ever growing bucket list.

Wongabirrie Park
Nice open park with a playground and basic exercise equipment. Some shade from the trees along the creek bed with a walking bridge. Gazebo BBQ area with some seating. Great park to stop over to stretch your legs and if you need the toilet there, there for you to use.

Wirrabra is quite a pretty place although last time i was there the drought was biting hard. Now rains have come again and i imagine it is all like a park now. The paintigs on the grain Silo are amazing so real.

Wongabirrie Park
A beautiful area on the banks of the Rocky River, with a walking trail that features some beautiful gums trees, with great photo opportunities when there is water in the river.

Great playground for the kids with plenty of park benches in and out of the shade. Toilets are really close by.
