Thornleigh Cylinder Head & Engine Reconditioning - North Shore Sydney

Unfortunate that shops like this are so rare nowadays, professional and polite from beginning to end, fast turnover on my job and quality work. Always happy to pay good money for quality work and service. Couldn't speak higher of these guys.

My first boss sent me to THORNLEIGH to drop off a head as a brand new apprentice mechanic 40 years ago.I have lost track of how many blocks and heads they have done for me.They’re honest family people. They have great tradesman and equipment. If they give you advice, strongly consider taking it.I’ve been off the tools for some years now and just do my own work these days.The last block they did for me was a 100 year old chev block. The machining was beautiful.My boys just got their first car and theyve blown a head gasket, we’re doing it together as they’re keen to learn.Guess where the head will be going??Ps. You’ll probably some pretty cool cars there.

Started as a great experience, but unfortunately turned into just another mechanical workshop that did not quote or estimate the job at all - just receive a hefty bill at the end. They did estimate 2-3 weeks for the job, but took over 2 months to complete. Very friendly and easy to deal with, but unable to manage cost and time management. Would not recommend.

Nas was recommended to me and I understand why. He and his guys are fantastic. My 'stock' 105 series needed a dyno run / tune & they were so patient sorting everything out. Thank you guys. I'll definitely be back & recommending to others.

Team are awesome performance engine builders. Have had many things done here on multiple cars. Nas is a wizard with tuning v8s and turbo cars

Nas and the team are always very accommodating with my requests for various custom head setups. They've rebuilt maybe 10 heads for me over the years and a few blocks, overboring, crank polishing, sizing bores to pistons, always to the highest standard.
