Hook-A-Barra
Hook-a-Barra was surprisingly fun, even for someone who is not a keen angler. The farm tour was super informative and interesting and the barramundi dishes were delicious. And even an inexperienced angler like myself could enjoy the catch and release fishing with great tips from the crew on site. It’s definitely worth visiting while in the Port Douglas / Daintree area!

We all had a great time fishing today, the kids loved it and we all caught a few Barra each. The crew were awesome, they shared heaps of tips for casting and reeling and were great with the kids too. Highly Recommend

Incredible family fun! My fishing mad sons and hubby had an amazing time catching some super fish, including a huge and beautiful albino Barra! The staff are amazing, super friendly, with great knowledge and tips for the young and young at heart. They handled the fish with respect and kindness. Highly recommend for anyone.

Highly recommend Hook-A-Barra. Staff are absolutely beautiful friendly people that went above and beyond to make our time a perfect fun filled experience. Knowledgeable staff shared great tips and my daughter was able to land an 82cm Barra along with plenty of smaller Barra! The staff showed great respect for the fish and handled them very gently until releasing. Food was amazing the vibe was perfect. Highly highly recommend this experience for all family’s wanting to catch a great sized fish, enjoy great food and vibe with amazing people/staff. Thank you again, we have one happy little girl.

Great place to go Barra Fishing, easy access, fairly inexpensive if comparing to a charter. Very likely you will catch barra. All gear supplied, staff very helpful

Best barra fishing experience and you don't need to go on a boat. My son and I had a great time catching monster fish all throughout the day. Best school vacation memories with real results.

So much fun! We all had the chance of catching a Barra, including a 92cm panda. The boys running our experience were very professional and were loving it just as much as we were!

Had a great time here with the family, we all got to catch some Barra's, we got the 2&half hour fishing experience and was looked after so well.Big shout out to Steve who helped to make it a memorable experience.

Amazing place with incredible staff who make sure you catch a fish. So much fun we had to stay longer! Can not recommend this place enough! We will definitely make sure we come here every time we visit Port Douglas!

Hook a Barra is an amazing place to visit!We did their fishing tour and caught some great barra.The staff are extremely helpful and educational, they made sure that everyone had a great time, with a special shout out to Simon, his banter and special joke at the end really made our dayNot only that, we ate there too, the food is absolutely delicious and as fresh as it gets.I highly recommend Hook a Barra to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience.
