I've had to use Haven, Home Safe a few times in the past and they were, and still are very helpful for me. Not only when I was homeless before my heart attack, but even now almost two years later, they still help me out with useful and handy information and I respect that.

I booked a appointment with Haven, went into my meeting and told one of the woman why I couldn’t live at home due to my parents being verbally abusive and other bad circumstances, she then said I won’t get approved for any house due to not working and couch surfing, they couldn’t help me (they didn’t offer any help whatsoever) She told me I should suck up my pride and go home. She said it 3 times and laughed at me. Disappointed and disgusted.

My partner was in haven, finally left it. Now has to pay a stupid, expensive, not needed price to repair things that wasn't his fault (with proof it wasn't) and that doesn't seem good enough. Homeless service.. but once you get out you'll be completely broke

Excellent service. Friendly well mannered staff. I requested assistance with immediate short-term accommodation and I was seen by a case management worker within 30mins. They assessed my budget and gave me several options which I chose the cheapest, most basic and sustainable which I was settled in that afternoon. Big thanks guys!

Takes a very long time to get help from Haven.The wait list is very long.Once you do, even then depends on who your case worker is, which depends on the quality of help you get.Some staff are there to assist the clients and help empower them together.Other staff are there to collect a paycheck.There over burden with too many clients apparently.
