Newcastle Racecourse
We were in the members yesterday as our horse was racing. It wasn't a busy race meeting but the standard of food was atrocious. We purchased 2 roast beef rolls at $20 .The bun was stale and meat was tough as old boots We could not eat themIt was obvious that the food was leftovers from Saturday. Terrible food at high prices a insult to members and race horse owners. The positive thing was the girl serving who was very pleasant.

Track was nice Shame how the people who run alot or the food stalls and cafes aren’t real friendly $7:50 for a Pluto pup that looked like it had been sitting there all day snitzel roll couldn’t be had with gravy only tomato or barbecue sauce no smiles poor form.

Came here recently for a careers expo, plenty of parking on the front lawn which was good. Facilities were good however there was some confusion around where and how to get into the cafe, as most of the doors were locked and there was no signage. This could be more the event organisers rather than the venue. Overall really nice place and would come here again!

Was a Sunday race event - not a big crowd which was good. Easy to get a drink atthe bar due to lack of patrons. Racing was good and always a good view between races

Went to the model show and it was very good. Lots of parking and toilets. High quality exhibitors. Spent a few hours there.

The Newcastle Jocky Club held Our Town Model Show on the 17th & 18th of August 2019. The exhibition of scale models of many different areas of interest is organised by the Our Town Scale Modellers Association Inc in conjunction with the Our Town H.O Model Railway Club Inc.These organisations consist of a small group of modelling enthusiasts that meet regularly to share their skills, show off their latest project's and generally enjoy their hobby with others.The weekend was a great success with a lot of interest from the general public and exhibitors alike.

Went to the Spring Carnival on Saturday, it was a social event we held and thought it would be nice. It was kinda fun if you like drinking and gambling. There was not much choice when it came to food and it was very overpriced. The seating was average but at least there were seats. Overall it was something different for me and I had fun but I don't think I'd want to go back anytime soon. It got very wild near the end with drinks being spilt and young men letting lose looking forward to causing trouble.
