Does not disappoint. Right from the moment we arrived the staff were super attentive. Made us feel really special. We got married at Silky Oaks 10 years ago and went back for our anniversary. I'm a vego and was so impressed at the quality, range and presentation of my food. Every meal is personalised to the guest. We got the Ulysses spa package and it was divine. Plus the relaxation room afterwards was a real treat. I love how personalised our experience was. Really enjoyed the kayaking, yoga and walking tracks. We will definately be back again. If you are looking for high end pampering and peace, this is definately your place.

What a wonderful experience! All the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional, fresh and delicious, with perfect wine pairing. Wonderful activities to immerse yourself in the magnificent surrounds. Rooms were beautifully appointed and everything well thought through, from the fridge packed with treats, to the backpacks and water bottles. Truly a very special place. Highly recommend.

One of the best places to stay in Australia. Luxury accommodation in the middle of the nature. We stayed in the Rainforest retreat room but if you can pay a little bit more it’s very worth it to be upgraded to Treehouse or Riverhouse.Breakfast and dinner very good and tasty. We did the hike from the lodge to Mossman and it’s worth it as well.

We took the four night package in mid December. Yes it was very hot, but very low occupancy, so we were treated exceedingly well, and very special. The staff are outstanding, nothing is a problem. The trip was a bit of work and an bit of end of year R&R. The room is extremely comfortable and the desk behind the bedhead has all you need to work remotely including strong wifi. Each room has a complimentary mini bar, which has soft drink, beer and rose wine replenished dailyThe spa do great massages and help you relax.Pre dinner drinks are a great opportunity to mingle with a daily Gin and tonic or one of their many wines or beer on offer. The pinnacle of the stay is the food.Outstanding, fresh and varied.. we definitely left a few kg heavier.Don't miss the swim in the river soooo refreshing on a hot day.

Terrific location, visited only the restaurant, but wouldn't mind to stay at this place.

This is one of the mostly blissful getaways I’ve ever had. Our experience across dining, spa, bar and accommodation were beyond expectations and the setting was stunning. We especially loved that although a high end experience, it had such a relaxed feel and we left feeling revitalised. Some of the best food we have ever eaten, the chef also was very accommodating to our dietary needs but still so much flavour and no short cuts taken. The Spa was absolutely amazing, the girls added some finishing touches to the treatments that other day spas don’t. Highly recommend the rainforest bath experience, such a beautiful view and so very relaxing. Could not recommend this place more, will be back for sure at the very least for lunch if not for another stay.

When you pay over $1,000 a night for a resort you have pretty high expectations, but Silky Oaks still exceeded them. The drive up here is gorgeous, through the cane fields into the gorge, and then from the moment you arrive the service is sensational.People appear to welcome you, whisk your bags off, sign you in with a drink and then show you the room.Even the cheapest rooms are glorious (don't waste money on the fancier ones) and well stocked with tea, coffee, beer, soft drinks, wine and snacks, all as part of your rate. The biggest surprise for us was the food. It was superb, much better than we expected, and well matched with the wine course, or, just request a whole bottle. But come early and enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the lovely bar, again, it's included in the price.Breakfast didn't have a huge range of options, and they didn't change in the 4 days we were there, but there was fruit, cereal, toast, pastries and cooked meals, which were good (pastries were a little stale, and the coffee was not great). The grounds are spectacular, and the setting overlooking the river running through the property is stunning. The river is safe to swim in, or, borrow a canoe or kayak. You can also borrow an e-bike for a longer run into town. Again, all part of the cost. The only thing you will pay extra for here is lunch, the spa, and outside activities.Quibbles? A quick barista course would improve the coffee, and the walking trails are in need of a lot of maintenance as they were in pretty poor shape as soon as you stepped off the maintained grounds. But the resort grounds, food, rooms, staff, everything here was sensational.

Idyllic location and beautiful resort no doubt. But for the price, it really was a disappointment for us. Nothing felt special or luxurious. Very over-bearing service and attitude. We’ve never heard so many “no’s” at this price point. At that rate shouldn’t I at least have the luxury to eat dinner whenever I feel like it as in an Aman or Six Senses? The welcome was not very warm from the outset, beginning with the buzz in at the gate and wait and then a lengthy, patronizing lecture of what is available and what isn’t that takes way too long when exhausted from traveling in and simply wanting to unwind in room.Food was 3 stars at best but that alone would not dictate if I returned there. Some servers were good but flexibility is not in the resort’s DNA.
