The technician was a nice guy and he looked over my aircon, No dramas with the overall service and inspection but when I got a quote to replace the system it was exorbitant, (9K for a split system replacement.) I looked at the model that I was quoted on (2k online). so a 7K install fee for half's a days work. Either there is that much fridgey work going around that they can pick and choose what work they want, or this is daylight robbery.

Have been dealing with AC issues through a sweltering summer period. Danny was professional, polite and very knowledgeable and managed to diagnose and fix the issue and advise practically on next steps. Thanks Danny!

Watch out. As others have said, this is a scam. Do not fall into the cheap ‘call out fee’ trap.My unanswered email to them is as follows:“I’m quite confused by this process as I’ve paid the original call out fee to assess what is wrong with the unit, and then it seems I’ve paid another call out fee for $1,100 to tell me that it will cost $2,700 to repair a single small aircon unit that is 10 years old. This is not what I signed up for.When I was quoted a service for $1,000 per unit on top of the initial call our fee, I vocalised my extreme hesitation and said quite explicitly that for that amount of money I would rather just get a new unit installed, but I was very strongly advised to take the $1,000 repair option as it could be ‘much cheaper than getting a new aircon unit’.I am now being told that to repair the unit will cost an additional $1500 on top of the $1350 or so I have already spent. Ive also done research and found that I could indeed get a new unit installed for a fraction of what I was told here.The initial call out fee was supposed to give indicative cost of the repair. I have now spent over $1350 to have 2 people come out for a total time of around 2 hours all up, with no work being done to the unit and no fix.What was the point in paying the second call out fee of almost $1100 when I’d already paid an initial call out fee, for someone else to come for brief stint to tell me that they can fix it if I pay another $1500 or buy another absurdly overly priced model from them? Why on earth would that option ever have made sense? It is a trap.I should not have been pushed into booking the second $1100 cost on top of the original call out fee if it was literally going nowhere, especially when I voiced an opinion that I could do it cheaper with a brand new unit, and I was right.Could you provide the models of the replacement units so I can see their market value compared to other offerings, and could you offer an explanation of why I have paid so much for a simple call out / quote?”
