Bunya Crossing Reserve

This place is located just behind George Biggs park and saw people and dogs were swimming in the creek.

Great place to take the dogs for a walk. Plenty of places along the way to access the river and cool down.

Great swimming hole especially at non peak times. Requires a bit of a drive to get there as only 1 access but well worth the visit. Sadly some people who go there take their rubbish in but arent willing to take it out such as a trampoline used to jump into a swim hole. It is also worth taking a walk on the paths there. One direction takes you to kumbartcho sanctuary while the other direction after a short but pretty walk takes you to a residential rd. Great grassed area with tables for picnicking and bbq just off to the side. Small carpark area available and toilets a short walk up entry road. Gate on entry is locked every night and area maintained by volunteers for the most part

Beautiful spot parking can be limited. Lots of area for picnics or to play great swimming area for all ages. Pets are here so make sure your animals are ok with kids and other dogs. Swing role that will bust you if you don't hold on and let go correctly.

Love swimming here with my dog. The locals are always friendly but mindful of space so you can really relax and have some fun here. Could do with more parking as it can get really busy here especially on school holidays but there's enough water for everyone to swim.

Water + rope swings = awesome funParking is on a residential street.If you go on a really busy day and you wouldn't be comfortable reversing 100m round a slight bend with parked cars on either side, I suggest parking near the main road.There's trails and spots to get the picnic out all along the banks.Grab yourself a stick to pull in a swing and enjoy.

Such a beautiful area to bring the family and relax! So many areas to explore and adventure to. Most people had their dogs on leads but there were a few that weren't. Everyone was so nice and happy to have a chat.

Best tip would be get there early as there isn't much parking at all by the river( which is where you need to park if you have young children), or your other choice is on the road but you will have quite a walk up/ down the hill. Children had fun, especially on the ropes. Wouldn't recommend the adults going on the ropes, as we had two try and got injured as the water wasn't deep enough for them. Our navigation took a bit to find it. Gets very busy during school holidays.

Great place for families and dogs l, although the water level is quite low at the moment its still a wonderful swim and way to entertain the kids for a day. Lots of parking, picnic area and a couple of BBQ tables. Take your inflatables and wear out the kids!
