The Diplomat Cafe.
Something's changed. Not as busy as it used to be and the servings are just adequate. The decor feels the same but it's not what I remember it to be. I ordered eggs on toast and they were served on tiny slivers of bread. It's odd. The quality is fine but lacks a little polish. Prices seem higher than before, too.

Good food, bad customer service.Coffee- good. But there’s no “art” so looked like regular coffee not barista made. Just ruined it. Crew didn’t serve properly.Eggs benedict - only great experience in going to this cafe. Would Recommend.Told them we’re sharing the meal but didn’t even gave another plate.So 3/5

This cafe is a go to for me with a great atmosphere and delicious food. I regularly get their Moroccan chicken wrap which is very flavourful and delicious and a tropical smoothie which is so fresh. Highly recommend this cafe!

My go-to cafe in Highett. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Always great service with yummy food. Definitely worth checking out - Highly recommended!

We had the breakfast burritos, a milkshake and a tea and everything was amazing! The burritos were huge and full of flavour, the milkshake was delicious and the tea was perfect.Thank you for having us, best breakfast we've had in Melbourne on our stay ☺️

This place is certainly popular! When we were there the place was packed inside and the only seating was outside and one poor family had no choice but to sit outside as cold as it was, so luckily we were just getting takeaway coffees! I had soy latte and husband had flat white and while mine was fine husband said his was one of the worst coffees he'd ever had! Would like to go and have a meal there as nice vegetarian options, including my fav, avocado smash.
