Melbourne Antique Clock Repairs

My grandfather and his father built a long case clock about 100 hundred years ago. It now belongs to my mother and was much in need of a service. I contacted John Mohan who collected it himself and assured me that it would be brought back to it's golden years. The clock was duly returned and chiming beautifully. However when John left, the clock stopped. John did not hesitate to spend more time on it and give it much consideration. The problem was not the quality of work but the glass casing preventing the second hand from moving. The clock is once again standing proud and chiming serenely, as befits it's age. John took our grandfather clock that has been in the family for 6 generations and restored the clocks functions and had the cabinet repaired and polished.It now has pride of place in our house and we listen to the ticking of a clock through the generations.John was amazing, passionate and careful with a family heirloom and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Went and got my great great grandparents anniversary clock fixed up at Melbourne antique clock repair. Never in my whole life have I ever remember the clock running or ever looking so clean. John was just fantastic with my great, great grandfather’s clock from his grocer shop. This clock did not like the move from the UK to Australia and needed to be stripped down and the internals rebuilt. This clock was awarded to my godfather almost 70 years ago for his football coaching. It was rescued recently by my sister before the club rooms were to be demolished and wasn’t in a great state. John did an amazing job restoring our c.1880’s mantle clock. There were pieces missing which he was able to engineer and match perfectly. The clock works beautifully and chimes lovely. Such a wonderful piece to now be able to pass down for another 150 years.
