We bought a milk chocolate mousse cake for my husband's 30th. As always, the cake was the most delicious thing we've ever had (we got stuck into it before we could even take photos!). The party guests all loved it which unfortunately meant fewer leftovers for us! It was so helpful being able to order just 24hours in advance and having it delivered right to our door.

I always think this shop is so secret, only open every Friday and Saturday, and sometimes close when they’re too busy for special bookings. I got lucky to booked two cakes for Christmas, white and dark chocolate mousse cakes for gluten free which is good, I thought it’ll be too sweet but actually not, just right enough sugar and delicious! With a berry tea makes Christmas so perfect.

Emily's attention to detail is extraordinary! I have had the pleasure of receiving a Cakesmith cake for my birthday, and have also stopped by her shop window to purchase sweet treats. I have had no reservations in referring business to Cakesmith, as the quality of her workmanship is second to none.

UPDATED - The owner has reached out to me and sincerely expressed her apologies for missing my emails. I will be willing to give it another go as I have heard that her cakes are delicious and beautiful from many others.I will update my review again once I get a chance to taste the cakes.ORIGINAL - Not responsive at all. Tried visiting the website a several times which has been down for ages. Sent a couple of emails to the email address mentioned on the website but no response at all. Very disappointing.

As a cake maker Cakesmith is the only place I would go to, to get cakes made for me!!! I've been making cakes professionally for over 15 years, when I had my 40th recently I knew exactly who to go to, to create the cake bar of my dreams (that i didn't have to make for a change!) Em was amazing a everything was beyond what i had imagined! I thought i had over ordered but it was all so yummy it all went! I just wish i'd got more photos before it was devoured!

It was a delightful experience! There has been a little technical communication issues with emails and sms but Em was super helpful and responsive. Received the cake as promised and wow it looks beautiful and tastes even better. Milk chocolate mousse with raspberry and lemon cream tastes so creamy and fresh, but not too sweet at all. Would love to come back for more.

Emily at the Cakesmith puts so much love and effort into her delicious cakes. We have ordered cakes for many different occasions and always get so many comments on how wonderful they taste and how beautiful they look. We have tried the layered sponge cake, the lemon meringue pie cake and also the milk, dark and white chocolate mousse cakes. It's hard to choose a favourite but the mousse cakes with raspberry and lemon never disappoint. You can''t beat the Cakesmith for a special celebration.

Amazing cake, and even better service. I contacted Em with short notice but she got the cake made in time for my sisters birthday with a smile and no problems at all. The cake looks stunning and I cant wait to try it tonight at the party! Thanks again Em, we are so grateful!
