My wife and I did the smoked meat cooking class and it was not only very informative but great fun as well. The class was great value for the money and the best part was that we indulged in a fabulous meal at the end of the class. We would highly recommend this class for anyone looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in smoking meat and making their on sauces and spices.

Had lunch here. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The quality of the food was okay but not outstanding. In my opinion, it was expensive for what we got. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Disappointing that the food is served on paper plates and cardboard boxes with recycling cutlery. Hot drinks in takeaway cups. Not in a hurry to return.

We had Mother’s Day lunch at the smokehouse today and it was busy, I mean every table and seat were taken.The food was brought out in a timely manner, was hot, delicious and delivered with a smile by a waitress clearly under the pump.Hat off to you guys for handling the crowd and being able to push out all those meals!We will have 100% be back as the longest part of today was me trying to decide which dish I wanted to order as they all sounded so damn good.Happy mothers day to all staff who worked today

Standard glass of wine for $10 was half the amount of everywhere else. When told, they said “that’s our standard size”. Ended up taking it back and getting a bottle for $25. As someone who regularly has wine out, and who was with someone who works in a wine cellar, this was definitely not 150ml. If it was a case of the style of glass, perhaps they should consider putting a line marker. Last picture shows a similar 500ml cup from home with 150ml of water - definitely a discrepancy.My mum ordered a southern style chicken burger. Patty came out burnt the first time. They took it back and remade it. But then also burnt the second time (not as bad) and slightly undercooked (supposed to be chicken breast, not thigh, so shouldn’t show any pink). The paprika may account for the darker colour, but not the burnt flavour. I love southern fried chicken and have never seen it this dark.Other three meals (beef burgers and toastie) were fine. Took the leftovers because we try not to waste food and have dogs we can give it to.Very disappointed with this experience. Will not be returning. Also heard other customers complaining while we were there.As seen from the owner’s response below, customer service could use some work. Instead of taking on board the feedback given by customers, there is an attempt to disregard the customer’s experience.

My favourite smokehouse set in an awesome spot. I get my smoked duck from here for my Blinis. Lunch is great but today I only had coffee and a macadamia cookie. Was lovely and peaceful looking out.

We were a last minute table of 8 on a busy long weekend and had the best time. The dining is casual but the food and views most certainly are not. The brisket roll had 3 chunky pieces of perfectly smoked brisket and was served with delicious smoky beans. The ribs, burgers and smoked ham soup special were all next level. An amazing place to indulge in beautiful meat and drinks with friends.

Had a great time at the cooking class, Ben had a great relaxed attitude, was very informative & had all the answers to the varied questions from us all!Great class & delicious food, if you like smoked food I highly recommend!

Lovedale Smokehouse Cafe & Deli, Majors Lane Cooking School
Attended for casual lunch on our anniversary and found staff are friendly, food is filling and tasty with laid back ambience. Offers indoor and outdoor seating with also few picnic tables if you get takeaway. We ordered a few different things to share and were only unsatisfied with the dryness of the ribs.Will definitely return and recommend.
