Estia Health Merrylands

Admitted my father recently in January 2018 and have nothing but praise for the caring admin and nursing staff. They all looked after dad with so much care and dignity. On behalf of my mum, sister and brother we cannot thank Estia nursing staff at Greystanes enough for all the care, dignity, sensitivity and respect that they have demonstrated towards dad and our extended family. We would highly recommend Estia's facilities and would not hesitate using their services again. The place is friendly, attentive, clean and nothing was ever too much trouble when requested. Lynette at Estia have been amazing, they helped us get respite care funding otherwise we would have to pay over $300 a day for us to have some respite care. Lynette also helped us get funding through ACAT. The nurses were amazing caring for our mum especially since she suffers from other illness, and we’re very caring and helpful The food was great and the portion sizes were massive.I recommend this care service

Great team and service

I had a patient from this facility stop my car on a main road in Greystanes. Upon speaking with her I realised that she was confused and didn’t know where she was or how she got there. I spent 40 mins with this patient as I was waiting for the police and started looking up age care facilities near where we were and I found estia close by and took her back. It took a further 5 mins of ringing the reception door bell to get into the age care facility as they had no receptionist and I found another two other patients just sitting at reception, upon getting in no one was there to take any security checks so I started walking around the facility to find a staff member to assist. The staff members didn’t even seem to be aware they had this patient missing. If you love your relatives I wouldn’t be sending them here as it seems like anyone can come and go and no staff members are around for assistance.

Amazing care and staff residents are well looked after here

The receptionist is racist and rude. They leave there residents sitting in the corridor near the main entrance. They had lost one of there residents when I visited and the Karen receptionist was making snidely remarks that my sister and I had kidnapped the missing resident. I personally would not keep a feral cat in this facility.
