The Fred Hollows Foundation

Thank you for doing a good job.Today when I was at Epping Plaza, I ran into a team of three guys from Fred Hollows Foundation. One of them was nicely explaining their mission and making me believe that they are fundraising for Eye Surgery for poor people around the world. I don't know why another lady in their team jumped into our conversation in a rude way and tried to get my information including my bank details (again in a rude way). I want to ask you to train these boys/girls before sending them to the city and teach them when someone doesn't know English well it doesn't mean he/she is stupid and you can deceive them by talking recklessly.YOU NEED TO RESPECT PEAPLE WHN THEY TALK TO YOU.

Today my father wanted to donate money to an appeal that wasn't Fred hollows. The person who he dealt with lied to him directly and told him yes its for the appeal he was talking about and not Fred hollows. My father wanted to donate cash, but the member wanted bank details. How appalling can you be to lie when you go out to help. Never ever will I donate to this foundation. Liars.N

I want to say thank you.Thank you for cementing my disdain for charities that outsource to marketing companies.If you're trying to pull one over on me by making me believe that your chuggers actually work for Fred Hollows and don't chop and change between charities, you could have at least placed Shaun (or whatever his name is) in a different location than the one I saw him in a fortnight ago--when he was supposedly an employee of WaterAid.I honestly think it's devastating that charities have tarnished their own names by stooping down to the level of marketing companies. It is thanks to organisations like yours that I will likely not donate to charities due to the likelihood they're inauthentic.Again, thank you. If you ever do genuine charity work, perhaps I may consider donating, but so long as you're mixing with these verbally abusive, deceptive marketing companies, I'm out.

I donated money to the Fred Hollows Foundation and have been bombarded ever since with emails, phone calls, texts, pop up’s and generally harassed to give more $$$$$’s. Never again
