I rarely write online reviews but feel obliged to let every pet owner know how wonderful Dr Aish is and in particular how amazing acupuncture treatments have been for my dog. I have a soon to be 11 year old German Shepherd with severe hip dysplasia and arthritis. 6 months ago she could barely walk, was having cartrophen injections, was on daily carprofen tablets along with a whole range of natural anti inflammatory supplements and still experiencing severe lameness. I was desperate to find something that would help her retain some quality of life and having read about the benefits of Acupuncture was very keen to give it a try. Not being able to get my dog in and out of the car anymore (it just put too much strain and discomfort on her back legs) the Vets at Home service stood out immediately. After the first very thorough consultation/examination and acupuncture treatment my dog was a little wobbly on her feet for about a day and then I witnessed firsthand the AMAZING results! From not being able to walk 500m's to walking around an extended block and not wanting to come home! She has a spring in her step and a new lease on life. She has been having acupuncture for 6 months now and I cannot encourage people enough to give it a go - for the wellbeing and quality of your best friends life. I dread to think about the severe lameness my GS would now have had it not been for acupuncture! Thank you Dr Aish- You are an amazing vet and an incredible person!!

If universities produced more vets like Dr Aish Ryan we would have many more healthier happier pets and owners and the world would be a better place. Vets at home is what a modern vets practice should be. Aish utilises both the wisdom of diet centred integrative health and her studies in modern medicine. While she continually updates her skills and knowledge, she has raised her head up from text book dogma and has a common sense practice led approach based on both her sensitivity, and keen observational and deductive skills. Drugs and operations are always (along with their side effects) a last resort for Aish who believes that we don’t catch diseases , we build them. I appreciate her empathetic direct and honest approach. She is at one with nature and really enjoys animals and people too ..she has a great sense of humour. We would be lost without her.

1 year ago our physically slowing 11 year old German Shepherd injured his back and my husband and I were thinking we were going to have to make a difficult decision.Dr Aish has genuinely saved him.Not only treating his arthritis/stiffness/muscular discomfort, she has given us veterinary, dietary and pain management advice and solutions. He is now over 12 and we couldn’t be happier with his physical and mental health. We are so grateful to have found such a caring and capable person to treat him in his twilight years.

For many years I have been a grateful client of Dr Aish Ryan's beginning with my valuable and special champion show dog, Harry, who suffered from kidney failure. Dr Aish's specially devised dietary regime for him, using both western and herbal remedies, helped him to live in relative comfort for much longer than traditional veterinary practice alone supposed. More recently, Dr Aish regularly attended another of my dogs, Dora, over a period of years, to relieve her of the pain and stress of recurring musculoskeletal problems. These treatments, with Dr Aish's formidable osteopathy and acupuncture skills, supported by laser treatment, made a profound difference to Dora's life. After each visit, Dora again became her usual contented and carefree self. She rejoiced in her again-found freedom of movement, stopped moping and became eager to give and receive attention. This was the pattern over the years; to have Dr Aish tend Dora and also one other dog who sprained his muscles from time to time was one of best decisions I've made in decades of owning dogs. Importantly, to me (and my dogs) we were able to avoid the high costs of veterinary drugs and the possible damage that strong painkillers could cause over long time use.I highly recommend Aish Ryan and her successful treatments. She was always a very welcome visitor to the house with my dogs rushing eagerly to greet her every time she appeared.

Dr Aish is incredible, our experience was hearting and full of compassion. Not only this, Dr Aish is incredibly knowledgable and the wealth of information and support was outstanding. It made all the difference for us and I'd highly reccommend giving Vets at Home a go if you are thinking about it.

Phoenix the Samoyed and I first met Dr Aish around April 2016, for an initial 'nose to tail' examination. Our work over the last 6 years has supported Phoenix to transition gracefully from a mid-aged doggo to a fully-fledged senior, now 14.75 years old. Our consultations have always covered diet and nutrition; over the last few years some bio-mechanical work and acupuncture too. This has helped to keep Phoenix's body in the best shape it can be. I swear by Dr Aish's bone broth recipe, check out her blog! Most recently, Dr Aish has provided invaluable integrative vet support that is helping Phoenix recover from major abdominal surgery on a malignant intestinal mass that was fully removed. Dr Aish's empathetic and intuitive care extended to me too, as she was at times greeted with a human emotional wreck after Phoenix first collapsed (the first we knew about the mass) and in the lead up to his surgery. It's been super-important for me to have access to Dr Aish's integrative wisdom and insights, to have that alongside the conventional knowledge of Phoenix's 'mainstream' vets and his surgeon, both pre and post surgery. It's meant I've been able to make really informed decisions and care for Phoenix in the best possible ways. And Phoenix continues to do well a month or so since his operation and is getting stronger each day, which is what matters most!

Aish has been visiting my cat Lulu at home for about 7 years and we both think she’s great! Aish is always very caring and considered and always does her utmost to provide top level care. Lulu is now 18 and a testimony to Aish’s great skill and interest in her patients.

Twice Aish’s invaluable skills and knowledge have saved my two aging dogs with successful treatments alternative to surgery. Her dedication to their wellbeing is unparalleled. They are aging more comfortably and happily because of her. We trust her completely.

I've just had the absolute pleasure of having Dr Aish in my home to perform a wellness profile, titre test and an aspirate of a (hopefully benign!) lump on my little furkid Binky. Both my dogs felt very comfortable in her presence as she is very calm and friendly, and I can see she genuinely loves animals. I felt very comfortable asking questions, and Dr Aish spent much time discussing diet and health issues I was concerned about with me and providing advice, especially valuable as her advice aligns with my desire to provide as much natural treatment when and where possible. I found her advice knowledgeable and comprehensive - and it also included letting me know there's a wonderful specialist vet offering acupuncture, chiropractic services, Chinese herbal medicine and more in Geelong where I'm about to move in a couple months time. I had mentioned I thought I should come back to Melbourne for her advice as I could see I'd appreciate ongoing services from her, but she was more than happy to offer this invaluable recommendation for me to assess myself when I move. To me this proves Dr Aish is not a profit driven person but simply wants to see furparents and their furkids get the best care possible - a rare occurrence in today's profit driven society and most appreciated! I will most happily engage Dr Aish to provide the best of care until I leave Melbourne, then highly recommend her to all I know who can access her services. Thank you Dr Aish from Binky and her furmum Nixie.... and thank you for spending so much time with us even though we kept you for longer than we should have!
