After getting punched in game the league and referee, failed to log the incident. Resulting in Zero consequences for offending playing. Sheer laziness and negligence on behalf of Casey basketball. Protect your players and uphold the bylaws please.

Came here a couple of times for the Queens birthday tournament. One of the better stadiums I've been to. Plenty of car parks and courts look like it newly renovated.

Was there on Sunday & had to make comment that the game day experience had while there was the best organised & run event seen thus far this season. From local promotion of sponsors to comfortable seating in a clean venue with pretty good coffee it was great....

Facilities are excellent and improving all the time, but that is about where the positive feedback ends.Refereeing is extremely poor. There is little oversight of younger referees (mostly none whatsoever) and the standard is worse than 30 years ago when I played as a junior (in different associations). The grading system is atrocious, with major ‘political’ influence at the committee/grading level, putting some teams in grades that are well below their real standard so they can dominate and others in grades that are well beyond the teams capability. Punishing the kids for what purpose? If it’s punishing the kids for some issue at club committee-association level, what a disgrace. Stonewalled at every turn to try and get some equality. This is about kids, not the club/adults.Convoluted and inequitable system regarding the number of rep players that can play in any one team. Allows ‘stacking’ to occur and in combination with the ‘political’ influence on grading results in massive inequity.Nepotism and favours for mates galore. Referees allowed to play in teams as well as in the same grade and same competition. Both conscious and subconscious favouritism occurs as a result. Blindly obvious during games. Bias is as much about perceived bias as it is about actual bias. This association and the way it is run is a blight on the game and does nothing to advance basketball in this state.Basketball Victoria needs to act.One star because you can’t give zero.Reply to Casey response:I have read all the relevant policies and by-laws - you’re missing the point. The fact that I have read them prior to writing this review only adds credence to my review, although you assume that I haven’t read them.Clubs have persistently raised these issues but they get ignored, hence my ‘stonewalled’ comment. So why would we continue to correspond with the association, as you have suggested, when we get no action?Suggesting that I’m better off sending an email is avoiding the substance of this feedback, trying to hide it and trying to be seen as being receptive of feedback - which the association is far from.Writing this review is an absolute last resort. In reading it, you will distinguish between reviews that are just plainly out to grind an axe versus this one, which is raising real concerns and letting others know there is failure to act on systemic issues within the association.
