I had Ashok as an instructor, he did an amazing job of preparing me for my drivers test and giving me confidence in my skills. Her was very professional, he knew his stuff and he was fun to chat to as well! I highly recommend you book a lesson with Ashok.

Very unsatisfied with my driving instructor, Michael. Here are the many reasons why.When I got my lesson with him, I already had 90 hours of driving experience logged in my log-book. I had received lessons from another instructor in another company beforehand, who was away, which is why I went with Michael. At this point, I was a fairly confident driver, who just needed to brush up on a few things.First of all, I paid for an hour long lesson. I got to drive for less than half of this time. Michael spent the entire lesson blasting me about the way I was holding the steering wheel. He did so for 30 minutes at the start, as well as spewing some other meaningless bullshit. So I was holding the steering wheel in a 9-3 position, right. He told me this was wrong, and that I had to hold it in a 10-2 position"

I chose RACV for my wife's drive training as their reputation precedes them but we both came away very disappointed with the drive instructor Joseph. He turned out to be rude and negative. The least you would expect from an instructor is someone who constantly chastises and patronises you on every mistake. After every class my wife would return dejected and depressed. Would never recommend them (or the instructor at least) to anyone.

I can vouch for Saifee's review of Joseph, the guy was very rude and it offended me to the point I wanted to leave the car before finishing the lesson. I had to block his number and didn't want to another lesson with the guy. He made an assumption that I was going to change lanes without indicating and he went on a patronising rant about why people need to indicate and why cars have indicators when I was only driving in a straight line waiting to see where I would be turning and whether it would require a lane change. I told him I wasn't going to change lanes and he dismissed me over his own ignorant assumption that I'd change lanes without indicating. This came out of nowhere and is just 1 example of his scolding behaviour. He tells you your driving is bad and that you'd fail the test, etc. Very negative experience and he seems to take bad driving as a personal offense when obviously our lack of driving skill is the reason we're doing the lesson at all. He likes to pretend we're doing the drive test rather than learning how to drive so he just tells you you failed the test" over and over. The other RACV people are awful too. Very unprofessional
