Pedders Suspension & Brakes Newcastle (Gateshead)

Had some work done on my hilux by the lads at Gateshead, developed a couple of issues due to a reason not related to Pedders, Big Mark I can't thank you and your team enough for the EXCELLENT service provided by Pedders Gateshead. Thank you Cheers Glen.

Paid $1400 to have lowering springs supplied and installed. Developed a clunking noise and took it back, tightened up and was ok.Noise came back to returned to have it looked at again. Told nothing could be done and needed 4 new shocks.Taken to a European specialist for a second opinion, bolt tightened for no charge and all resolved. Won’t waste my time here again.

Took my car here few weeks ago to get my brakes sorted, was told the issue was master slave cylinder and a rear brake line +labour a rough quote of $940 . Only to be told after 2 days that wasn’t the issue and would need to pay more again for them to possibly try fix, replace or recondition the brake booster but no guarantee that would be the problem, and it would take them a week to do or I could source my own booster and then they do all the work plus Charge me labour AGAIN to pull the car apart.I left there with worse brakes then I had when I drove in and had spent close to $1000. Won’t be going back again

Have had my car now twice at Pedders Gateshead for different things including brand new suspension this year and both times the staff did an amazing job. The prices are very reasonable and both jobs completed with no issues. The staff are friendly and courteous. I will be booking in again soon for more work to be done to my car. Wouldn't go anywhere else. 100% have trust with this Pedders with my car.

Shout out to Mark & his team at Pedders Suspension Gateshead, they got me in within 10 mins after a SOS call because my BMW x5 needed new suspension desperately, they ordered my new springs urgently, had them in within 48 hrs & my car hasn’t been this smooth in 3 months. Recommend to anyone needing suspension on any car (and I was a solo woman)- 5 stars!

Big thank you to Mark and the crew at Pedders Gateshead. This week they completed the last part of my suspension upgrades on my Stinger, with the installation of the front and rear Whiteline Sway Bars. This in line with the lowered springs etc., fitted by Pedders previously has the Stinger handling like it is on rails. The customer service, product knowledge and workshop experience is second to none.

The guys that work there are very helpful and knowledgeable about vehicles in general. They have great customer service.

Was fit in on late notice for brake replacement, and they are good as new now. Excellent service. Thankyou.

Probably not a good place to go if you don't have a lot of mechanical knowledge, or are a woman. Took my car in for a power steering problem, diagnosed a few problems that were very much there, but assured me power steering was fine. Couldn't get all parts for the work required from their supplier, so they suggested I come in to have half done, see if I can find the parts, then come on for the other half, so x2 labour for one job. I felt like I was spoken down to, and actually laughed at when I mentioned I could source the parts myself. Took the car to a different Pedders who diagnosed my power steering and many brake issues the Gateshead team had been unable to see. Glad I went elsewhere as I'm sure I was being taken for a ride. In hindsight there's probably a reason they have so many appointments available. I hate leaving negative reviews, I only like to say positive things about businesses, but I personally had a poor experience here.

Absolute legends were happy to help us in half a days notice. Superior workmanship and knowledge. We’re now back on the road with a smoother ride and safer tow. Thanks guys!
