Farquhar Park Camping Ground
Fantastic place. Can be a bit windy if blowing from the sth west. Ideal if you’ve got a tinny.Don’t take on the tide like I did, as the sand up high on the beach is seriously soft. I came in from Old Bar and with the mouth currently closed it shortens the time considerably.Really good pit toilets that provides sawdust, so no smell.

Farquhar Park Camping Ground
Great local spot, though very popular in the summer. Only accessible by 4wd, well maintained drop toilets and no drinking water so come prepared. Also accessible by boat with some small sandy spots to anchor your boat. Calmer waters for swimming in the river inlet and old bar beach is a short walk over the dunes.

Fantastic spot,inlet blocked so easy access.Dolphins at sunset last night getting the fish.Great base,with old bar nice and close.Inlet open now 4wd access only2022 inlet open 4wd access now only via Harrington side.

Very sheltered spot from the wind. Got the 30 day beach permit from Metro service station in Old Bar. We definitely will be coming here most days whilst staying at Old Bar

4WD access dangerous. Camp ground has broken glass everywhere. Grounds are not kept, toilets questionable. Weekend campers have no respect for the place, drive on sand dune and cause additional erosion damage, bringing their dogs. Harassing campers at night.People in their boats not operating their vessel safely, no respect for people swimming, fishing or the foreshore.Would not recommend.

A great place to camp with the family. The only way in is via a boat or 4wd along the beach. There is a pit toilet and water. You can fish from your campsite. Bring cash for camp fees
