Colonial Tweed Holiday & Home Park

It's a middle of the road type caravan park. Staff are friendly, polite & helpful. It is tidy, peaceful (usually) & is across the road from the Tweed River, I recommend a scenic walk along the river, especially on dusk. The sunsets over the river and mountains are picture worthy, there are plenty of bream fish to catch in the river too.Hygiene is well maintained and there is plenty of native birds about (as well as some friendly pigeons). The airport sits 10km North and like most caravan parks in this area youll find planes coming into land hourly (thereabouts) but they are not deafening close. It is walking distance to a bottle shop & general store. There's several caravan parks near by & they are all very similar. The only thing separating them is $ & that I can't help you with.I know so much about caravan parks within Tweed because I do community work with residents within them.I hope I've helped, nothing worse booking a caravan park only to find the owners/caretaker do a poor job, esspecially with hygiene.

Please be very aware this caravan park is under a flight path which is not disclosed on the website or when you book in. Flights start at 6.10 am till 10.00pm. It is really noisy and sent vibrations through our caravan. We booked in for two weeks and left after one night. No refunds or if you ask for one they will take a minimum 3 nights off you . We accepted this as we couldn’t of stayed there as we went for a peaceful holiday and it was a nightmare.

Very good caravan park very good size ensuite and good size sites. Very friendly permanent residents. Very well kept park. The staff are very helpful, and give very good customer service.Very good location, only 5 minutes to supermarket. And a close by coffee shop and general store

The facilities are fantastic & clean. Great pool & the surrounding water, trees & nature create a relaxed peaceful environment. Some of the Ground staff could be a bit friendly to their paying customers though. Otherwise it's a top park.

We stayed 1 night at the 2 bedroom cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Beautiful stunning views of the river, clean and tidy rooms, great price and attentive service. Peaceful and great for q relaxing holiday.W definitely recommend visiting

We stayed at ensuite 2E, large area to park car, tent , trailer plus a bit of room left.Next door resident Kim was so kind and friendly, making us feel welcome. All other residents were also nice. Place is quiet except when the planes pass by which didnt bother us at all. Really clean and homely. We have really enjoyed our stay there, and would recommend highly.

Staff are friendly, nice place, neat and clean, love their kitchen and very good for groups camping.Stayed two nights, some noise from airplane as they landing (morning and late afternoon) but didn't hear in night time. No things the park can deal.with this noise if you want to camp around there due to close to Gold coast airport. But no big problem noise in daytime and you are out away for visiting around.

Loved this place - it's clean, quiet and neighbourly. Pool view is amazing and you feel like you're in an infinity pool with the river being on the other side of the small (and quiet) road.You can hear the airplanes due to it being under the flight path BUT having stayed in 2 other places in Tweed Heads, it's something you just can't escape here - and it never bothered our sleep.Kitchen was clean, had - kettle, grill, oven, dish soap and sponge...Bathrooms also clean and many of them, hand sanitizer outside the bathroom amenities block was a really smart call! Good water pressie, 7 minutes showering time perhaps a bit too short if one uses conditioner.Easy check-in and check-out, very price worthy stay in this area. Definitely recommend it.

We had a new cabin. It was wonderful. Even turned on heater for our late arrival. Staff go above and beyond and really care for the guests from booking to stay. Thank you
