Bathrooms By Design - Lonsdale

My “4 week” en-suite renovation took 12 weeks. Poor communication between project managers and tradies. By the end of the job the project managers weren’t responding to my texts. A beautiful bathroom but such a disappointing experience.

Had main bathroom and separate toilet renovated recently . So very happy with the result. The communication between project managers to me was always prompt and was never left wondering what was happening next . Professionally finished in every way. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We had a project done by BBD which included a small ensuite upgrade and a small bathroom with very few facility relocations of devices. It took them more than 6 months to complete the project. We had discussed and planned all the requirements and vacated our premises for 6 weeks, expecting at least the ensuite, which needed no repositioning of items, to be done. It wasn’t and the same lack of project management continued with the main bathroom. If you have an option please use another company to do your bathrooms. I have been involved with business for 40 years and have never ever experienced such poor communication and project management skills. A score of 2 is flattering.

I’m not sure about their bathrooms, however, I wouldn’t bother choosing them. Their drivers will probably die in a crash getting to you, due to their reckless driving.

Was completely underwhelmed by these guys. So unprofessional. Completely disinterested in my job. I guess it wasn’t big enough for them, but rather than say anything (which other companies had said - and this was a 10k job so not insignificant) they wasted my time and theirs (they came to measure up my room, got me to spend an hour in their showroom picking out finishes, got me to go around to U-build-it to pick out cabinetry and then gave me a vague, dodgy quote which had no specifics. So went back to showroom to try and find out what was/wasn’t included and the manager at the Lonsdale store could not have been less interested. I asked for more info, he said he would email me and I’ve never heard from them again).Also product range is very, very limited and they are only interested in doing typical ‘Strayan bathrooms. Defo don’t approach them if you want anything bespoke, interesting, beautiful.Finally I recommend you go talk to surrounding businesses and suppliers to see what they can tell you about these guys - it confirmed that my experience was not isolated.

Only giving 1 star so I can rate this...Went into lonsdale looking at kitchen taps & sales guy says Aw have you got an open cheque book? those taps are Australian made...cost around $600 compared to the other ones in the $200s...ontop of that an 8 wk wait ..so Bunnings got the sale"

Ordered a few thousand dollars worth of bathroom and toilet supplies a couple of months before a renovation. Paid a decent 20% deposit and was told no problem, will hold items in warehouse. I would then ring before delivery and pay final balance. My wife was then rung every Friday to finalise the balance. After a couple of these calls I rang myself - it was checked with the owner and was told no problem ring a couple of weeks before delivery to finalise payment. The calls kept coming - I ended up paying the balance.. Delivery day arrived, non delivery and no contact by Bathrooms By Design. Had to ring myself, delivery the next day. Faulty mixer tap leaking water into our new vanity cupboard - fairly urgent, sent an e-mail with photos as requested. No action was taken over a couple of days, staff indicating that it needed to wait until other staff were back in the office. I had to call the manufacturer myself to initiate a service claim. Obviously not a good experience covering many aspects of the business. The focus is on sales and customer service skills are poor. Would not recommend.

An excellent experience from start to finish. Abby was welcoming and provided great advice and customer service in the showroom.Justin and team exceeded my expectations. Fantastic communication throughout, trades were tidy and efficient and they delivered a beautiful bathroom.

So pleased with our bathroom renovation. Can't fault anything even with the COVID hiccups the communication was fantastic and completed within a timely manner
