Before booking i read the other review about the lift sitation but then assumed it was just Karen types complaining - how bad could it be?Well I was wrong - its as bad as the other reviews say - literally 30 - 40 mins waits in the foyer to get into a lift each time you exit or enter your apartment.Sunday checkout time I was told normally is about 90 min wait to get down to your room.The pools are nice - if you are happy to wait 40 mins each time to get down for a swim

we loved the room! tidy, modern & comfortable. the view was amazing! It was fun being up so high on level 45… until the lifts. just like every other review - the lifts seriously dampen what would have been a great stay. no way to know how long you’ll have to wait for a lift when you want to go down, 1 minute or 30? This had us seriously considering whether we reeeeally needed to EAT because it was such a journey to simply go downstairs even to just collect our uber eats. Not to mention when you finally do get in the lift you’re making at least 10 stops on your way down for other people to get in. and because the waits are so long, people will squish in even if the lift is full because no way they’re waiting another 30 mins for it to come back! extremely stuffy and hot in there too.

The apartment is really nice and view is fantastic but the LIFTS ARE AWFUL. Literally have to wait up to 30mins to go up or down, to the point I would never stay here again. Especially with kids having to wait in line for a lift to the room you just paid over 2K for. My mind is blown how I’m such a nice new building the lifts are so so so bad!

I don’t believe this place is safe to stay at. The reason it gets two stars and not zero is the location and view. Unfortunately that’s where the good things stop.Avoid at all costs. Firstly, the lifts. 30 minute wait daily for lifts as they are either not running or badly programmed. Staff can’t help and make out it’s a one off. Spoke to people who live here and they mentioned this happens a lot.Next, paying a fortune to stay for a 3pm check in and the room isn’t ready until 4:30pm. Unapologetic staff. My advice, stay well clear of this place. The lifts are bordering on dangerous, especially for families, it’s not worth the extortionatePrices.

Fantastic little apartments. Well kept, Super clean, Lovely concierge and 11/10 food just at the bottom of the tower! it couldn't get much better honestly. Amazing views from the balcony of our room. signed up to the casino and got HEAPS of freebies and discounts. Cant fault this place at all. Will 100% be back in a few months.

Reception is a tiny small space, even not enough room for a handful groups of guests to stand; and only 2 (sometime 1) receptionist. Receptionist wasn’t friendly / professional at all. Parking is horribly expensive if you are not entitled for free parking, just be aware. Location and room are quite impressive.

Terrible where do i even start - if you want a holiday where your happy waiting 40 - 50 minutes (not even an extragration - literally 40 mins) for a lift then go ahead and book!I will never come back - the lifts are terrible horrific!!!!We went for a casual swim on level 6 and took over an hour to get back to our room due to lift delays.Lifts get clogged up with housekeeping, air bnb cleaners, residents and then guests.

Would never stay here again. Reception staff were very rude & not very helpful. Pool was closed for the entire stay. Only booked here to stay beside the pool, we were not informed about the closure of the pool. Staff were telling new guests it would open tomorrow, which never happened. Reception also asked us to keep our curtains closed during our stay because of cleaning, washing machine left black marks on all my white clothes. Room is cheap & nasty & only had a double bed. Tram stops are too far away & need you need to walk around the river to get to shopping centre. Also had to walk through the old Casino to get to The Grand pool, which we had to use. This pool needs to be upgraded, very old & water was cloudy & way too hot. Would never recommend this to any of our family & friends. Very disappointing that The Star Residents have not yet compensated or responded to any of our complaints. Was told by reception this is what you get for the price we paid. Disgusting & full of lies. Do not stay here ever.

For what you are paying for, you definitely don’t get the luxuries and facilities expected from this so called luxury residence. Travelling with kids, there is no concierge to help with luggage. Despite the cost, servicing of room, baby cot and high chair are all an extra charge. A call to reception is barely answered on the first attempt. Ordering amenities can take up to half a day! All the pillows are super firm/ high (when we requested different pillows, we were told they had none, what a joke!) The only positive was the view ( except my toddler picked up a sharp object while we were on the balcony). Don’t waste your money here, we definitely won’t be back.

We recently stayed here for my milestone birthday. Had a wonderful time in our lovely one bedroom apartment. Staff were very nice and helpful. Enjoyed the casino and restaurants. Can't wait to save up and stay again. Thanks Star residences.
