Iglu Kelvin Grove Student Accommodation

This place was amazing for my first time living in brisbane and attending University. I lived in a two bedroom apartment however, my roommate left quite early on so I lived by myself which in long run was very difficult due to health reasons. I become quite sick quite frequently but the Iglu staff and owner were so kind, looked after me and check on my so frequently. They even went out of their way to get me medication and stuff I required which was a massive help and couldn’t thank enough. Thank you so much! This is definitely a place I recommend:)

I have lived at Iglu for the past 9 months and have loved every second of it. From day one, the lovely staff made me feel very welcome and they instantly learned my name so that they could always say hi when I walked past. The free 'on-the-go' brekkie and coffee every weekday morning during semester was great and all of the events that Iglu ran were fun and a lovely way to meet new people. They were also very prompt in responding to any maintenance requests. This accommodation is so well situated for the QUT Kelvin Grove campus and village (including Woolworths, a chemist, and heaps of coffee shops) and only a short walk to the shuttle bus for the QUT Gardens Point campus. I would highly recommend Iglu Kelvin Grove to anyone looking for fantastic student accommodation.

A cozy, comfortable and lovely little home away from home! I have about a month more here, but I've been here for nearly a year now and I have nothing but fond, fond praise for Iglu and the amazing people who bring it to life.This was my first time being so far away from home and living without my family, and particularly during my first few months I was an anxious wreck. But the staff were — and are — always kind and patient and guided me through a lot.Whenever I go out on little adventures and explore new things, I'm comforted by the thought that I'll be able to return to the safe, wonderful little sanctuary that is Iglu Kelvin Grove.I especially have a lot of gratitude for Matt, who was the first kind face I met upon coming to Australia and the one who showed me around the premises on the first day. He helped me through a difficult situation that went on for some time, and even patiently sat and talked with me one day when things were getting too much to bear. After the issue was resolved, he even checked up on me every now and then. Even though he didn't have to, I was saved by his kindness, and for that I will always be grateful.I am also very dearly grateful to Ana -- thank you for helping me out on several occasions, and for always greeting everyone with a cheerful, beautiful smile! <3I have several friends who live/lived here as well, and they have all mentioned similar lovely acts of kindness by the staff here and them just absolutely going beyond what's expected.I still have some time here, but thank you guys for always taking care of us and looking out for everyone. I'm grateful to the staff and RLs here for making Iglu such a comfy and cozy place for everyone, and my experience studying abroad wouldn't have been the same otherwise. You make this place so much more than just a building or student accommodation. It truly is a home away from home! :DAh, and, if you're a student reading through the reviews wondering if you should go for Iglu KG, go for it! I absolutely recommend it!

Iglu is a extremely convinent place to stay. Location is ideal if you study at qut kg. Management is good. The only drawback is if you are a masters or PhD student above 24, you won't find a lot of people of that age group. Average age group is around 18-19. So it's ideal 1st year students, who come out of their home for the first time. And for exchange students as well. Overall stay was comfortable.

This accom is a great place for any university/TAFE student, especially if you're new to Brisbane. The staff/resident leaders are always there to help and welcome you with open arms. Good rates, the maintenance team is always ready if you have a problem, and it's in a great location! Highly recommend!

I lived at Iglu for 4 years. Living there was the best experience. As a resident I must say that Iglu is more than a student accomodation, it is a family community.The staff are amazing, if you have any issue or just want to have a chat they are always open to do so.The General Manager, Lachlan Waters, always looks after their residents, he takes care of any need and always tries to find the best solution in view of the residents. His humanity and caring side makes you feel understood as he is always open to listen to residents as per his mantra “students first”.Also, Aaron Shearer (Facilities Manager) has the best attitude when it comes to aiding you in any apartment/room maintenance request. He always is there for you to assist you in any need.I also had the opportunity to work at Iglu, as a Resident Leader, and I had the best experience as Iglu is a company that is surprisingly well structured and provides their staff with all the tools and training to help them to develop their skills in hospitality; skills that also will help you in your future jobs.I love Iglu and I highly recommend it to any student wanting to be part of a friendly community which feels like home while studying.- Good facilities- Good Gym- Good Breakfast- Good Two common areas

Iglu is an excellent place place to live whilst studying in Brisbane. I moved from a regional queenland 3 years ago and have been at Iglu my whole time whist here. Having so many activities and social events to join in makes Iglu a great place to live and make new friends.Staff are extremely supportive, caring and overall help to create a great environment to live in.

I have really enjoyed living at Iglu Kelvin Grove this year! The staff are always friendly, welcoming and helpful and really make me feel at ease. Although it is daunting when you first move in, the residents at Iglu quite approachable and I have made lifelong friends during my stay. Kelvin Grove has a doctors, pharmacy, grocery store and several take away outlets, so during exams - I don't even have to leave! If I wasn't graduating at the end of this year, I would stay at Iglu, however, I hope to stay in the Kelvin Grove area.Thanks Iglu Kelvin Grove!

Iglu Kelvin Grove is the best Student Accommodation in Brisbane. I am living here around 3 years already, and every staffs are so friendly and always remembering your name and Whenever I meet them they always ask if there is any inconvenience. While living here, they tried to listen to and solve my problems as much as possible, and also responded quickly to e-mail and repair inquiries. All the staff members have a warm heart, but especially manager Caty listened to my personal concerns and took care of me warmly. I can proudly say that the Iglu accommodation will pay much more attention to your problems and solve them compared to other places. Also, you will not feel uncomfortable because it is close to the university, there are many convenience facilities nearby, and it is close to the city. I strongly recommend here to international students like me who are thinking about where to stay in Australia. (This is my first review ever which means that much NICE PLACE)
