Tropical Palms Resort & 4WD Hire

The best accommodation on MI! The owners Rob and Jen are fantastic hosts and super friendly, coming from an introvert I felt at home straight away and they had all the local knowledge and tips for my quick overnighter on the island. It was very easy to book last minute and they even helped with a 4wd to explore the island easily. The location is perfect, it's away from the traffic and noise of Nelly Bay with its own spectacular beach and Jetty, the best pizza shop on the island down the road and the best hike/lookout on the Island just up the road (Hawking's Point Lookout). Will be back with the family next time and Tropical Palms will be my regular when staying on the island.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Nice and quiet, clean and tidy resort situated at Picnic Bay. Kids loved the pool. Use of BBQ area is great and self contain rooms. Walking distance to the beach, pub, eateries and the look outs (bush walks) and bus stop. Daily bus passes get you around the island or hire a car from the resort. We stayed a week and will definitely stay there again. Owners a very nice and helpful.

Rob and Jen are an absolute delight. They made our little family feel right at home. The room was perfect for us and the pool and outdoor areas were spotless. We also hired a fwd which Rob kindly picked us up and dropped us at the ferry terminal. We would highly recommend staying here when visiting Magnetic Island!

Me, my dad and my sister stayed here a couple of nights. The room was really comfortable! Proper clean, the beds were comfi, the shower simply amazing and I truly love the little details in the rooms in the form of a few bricks painted with palms. The bbq area is lovely and shade provided. Also some coverage for when it rains (as we had a little bit of rain at some point), so grateful we had a lovely dry spot to eat our breakfast!The service from both Rob and Jen is just simply amazing! Hospitality done right! They had a lot of advice on things to do in the area and spontaneously gave us a lift back to the ferry terminal after we checked out!Location is amazing, close to the beach and like a 2 minute walk away from the brewery and pub et cetera! We explored the island mainly by using the local bus services and local busdrivers stopped right in front of the resort to drop us off - just as a little extra service.I definitely recommend this place for a comfortable stay when exploring Maggie!

Welcoming very easy to talk too.The service was above and beyond from all the I formation about the island all the way too even posting items left behind.Our stay way relaxing and enjoyable and would revisit.

This is a little place in paradise. Cosy, quiet and peaceful. Great service from Rob and Jen who are friendly and amazing, they look after you and are really knowledgeable. Rooms have the essential stuff needed and are well maintained. Location is great as is close to Picnic bay area and transport is handy too. Definitely recommend this place. Will love to come back.

We hired a car with Jen, and she was so kind and knowledgeable. She gave us a beautiful little background run of the island and shared all the good spots. Would definitely book again!

We had a lovely time here at our stay. The owners Rob and Jen were very hospitable and friendly. Gave us some great tips for things to do around the island and where to snorkel! The place was clean and very nice with a lovely pool. If you need wifi for work etc it was a bit spotty but in the day it worked for what we needed. Also some great library of DVDs to enjoy in the evenings. Overall would highly recommend to staying at Tropical Palms resort!!
