The best instrument repair shop in Sydney. I always take my saxophone to Solar for repair and have done for years. Their repair skills are outstanding and so is their customer service. The staff are always so accommodating and will go above and beyond to help you. Prices are very reasonable too.

Accidentally dented my new Yamaha 212 flute and was super worried about how it might affect the sound quality. Luckily, William from Solar Music Brass and Woodwind was able to fix it with a very fast turn around time. He even gave it a good polish! The head joint is now perfect again, can’t even tell it was once dented, no mark or anything! Will definitely come back for all flute related services from now on.

Wow what a great experience. Craig serviced my son’s alto sax; the attention to detail, coupled with the YouTube video clips of the before and after service, made the experience a total package. These guys at Solar really are a cut above the rest. Thank you Craig and William, you have restored my faith and trust in old school proper servicing. I will definitely be spreading the word.

It was the best decision to visit Solar Music to choose a tenor sax mouthpiece. We were lucky to visit when Craig was there – he was incredibly patient and more than knowledgeable about sax mouthpieces. Very confident and happy with this purchase and at a reasonable price.

Amazing. Professional, knowledgeable, super quick. Both Craig and William are welcoming, great guys, a delight to deal with, completely across their craft and use great materials. My Mark VI Selmer Alto [seriously] has never sounded better now that Craig worked on it. I've owned it for all of its life [decades] and like most other people who rely on their horns in all sorts of ways, am super fussy about who goes near it - I am now very happily about to take my other instruments there.

Craig was incredible today fixing my sons sax at short notice. He did a full service and got the instrument back in shape again. Chris spent time with my son educating him about how best to care for the sax as well as showing him some technical components of how they are serviced. I have always loved Solar but today they went above and beyond. What a great experience. Thank you.

Always really great service and expert knowledge. I came in for a neck cork replacement and Craig fixed some small leaks in my horn free of charge. He gave me a sound alternative to a re-cork saving me a good amount of cash. Recommended for sax gear and servicing & upkeep.
