Tom's Place Malaysian Chinese Cuisine
Dropped in here for lunch after a long drive Food was fantastic and very authentic Malaysian. We over ordered but hadn't had breakfast. Don't expect flash surroundings. This place is in a commercial building at the back of a shopping complex and is more Asian cafeteria style than restaurant but the food more than compensates. Remember folks Asian food is about the food and not about flash surroundings full of urbanites and wannabes. On our visit we were the only Caucasians All the other diners were Malaysian and that in itself speaks volumes

Hidden gem in Mildura off the main shopping strip. Authentic and delicious Malaysian food. Char Koay Teow has sufficient wok hei. Curry chicken was creamy and lemak. Good range of choices in the menu. A must visit whether you are local or from out of town.

Was wondering what to eat for dinner so we went to Google to look for places with good ish reviews (we arnt fussy lol) and we stopped here as it seemed good value for money and all I can say is wow this place is an absolute HIDDEN GEM we had 3 mains and 4 drinks and it came to $64 in total yes that's right and we could not finish it all lol the flavor was different from the regular dishes like Mongolian that you get from other places but it's a good difference that makes you say WOW if your hungry and want to save some money this is the place to goWE WILL BE BACK

The friend rice and stir fried vegetables were... nice, though the roti was so hard and the satay sauce was split and tasted nothing close to any satay sauce I had ever had before. There was so many people in there, which made me think it was going to be fantastic, though I waited atleast 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my existence. Super dissapointing, especially after seeing all the fantastic reviews, probably won't try again.

Well if you are expecting it be an upscale Chinese restaurant, please do some research. This is definitely not. They also don't use any gluten free sauces so all gluten free food is colourless and tasteless. The pricing is low keeping in mind the regular customers who are mostly pickers and packers. Was the food edible? yes...was it a good experience? No...it was just enough to fill us but missed the quality and ambience mark significantly.

Very impressed with meals, so tasty and delicious and very generous servings, restaurant was clean and tidy. Very friendly staff. No complaints from Dad who is very fussy. Will definitely be back there only small thing to comment could create a little more atmosphere in there.

Tom's Place Malaysian Chinese Cuisine
Had our first interaction with this place tonight, and it was pretty good. The menu was organised into distinct areas, such as entree and main course, however this is not the way the dishes were delivered to the table, they arrived in some sort of random order. One of the mains made it first and one of the entrees was last by the length of the straight. However most of the meals were very good. Judging by the clientele, the food is probably authentic. Inside the very basic restaurant was pretty busy. Food was served quickly and was definitely hot.No alcohol is served in the restaurant, but dinner was taken care of pretty quickly, so it’s not the king of place that you are going to sit around in over a bottle of wine anyway.Will go again, but might give take away a go next time.

As a Malaysian Chinese, with my hand on my heart, I can say that this is authentic Malaysian Chinese cuisine. All the dishes I had were on point.
