A Pennant Golf tournament played on a Sunday and holding up play for all the public. Some of these groups were waiting for the green to be clear on par 4’s before teeing off. This resulted in multiple groups banking up behind them.3hrs to play for 9 holes is unexceptable, even for average golfers.We walked off after 11 holes as the pace of play was that bad.Won’t be back anytime soon if this is how the course is managed.

Best council/community golf course around so it does get busy. A friendly layout for all golfers. Around the greens they can be firm and fast but superb manicured fringes . Great to have a facility like this in Melbourne.

Very good condition fairways and greens. Although green looks patchy the balls still rolls very smoothly.Lots of practice facilities including a massive putting green.Course doesn’t have any par 5s but I’m not complaining. Finished around of 18 in good time.The hire pull buggy also very light and easy to pull.

Haven't played here since the redesign and was looking forward to it. Got a few mates to come across town and check out the sand belt. Didn't get a warm welcome, instead were asked for a name and mobile number. Not sure why?? Greens are undulating, fast and roll nice. Bunkers were a bit disappointing. Sand very compact. With the excessive amount of par 3's, groups continually banking up on tee's...not ideal. Signage is non-existent on a lot of holes. Given the currant climate, the green fees are excessive. $60 for 18...(back 9 par 32). As the old saying goes 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

Absolute gem of a place! With a driving range, putting green and course. I took beginners lessons here which I would highly recommend for women and now go there for a bit of a play. Beautiful setup and beginner friendly!! If looking for a coach try pga coach Chris Donovan he was awesome.

Great challenging golf course, not the longest track but makes up for it in difficulty. Greens are like Augusta with the amount of break in them.

If you like to hit the ball and get your energy up, this is the place to be.You can hire a club for $5 ( However, you will have to leave one of your ID).$10 for 35 balls$20 for 75 balls$30 for 115 ballsThey also have a lunch room with a barrista-made coffee, a selection of hot or cold food, and a terrasse with a view over the course and driving-range.

Humble golf facility that has 18 holes and a driving range amids a well know sandbelts area. Online booking was very easy proshop staff was helpful. This course can be played all year round, even during wet winter still challenging and fun at the same time. reading the line on the green is essential in my humble opinion.

Slow play as usual for a public course so nothing has changed. Nice course though since the upgrade. No refund if only play 9 out of 18 holes due to having 2 groups waiting on the tee in front. Avoid unless you like waiting.

Wow! Used to play Sandy back in the early 70s when a schoolboy. Very different course today. Much better in my opinion. Enjoy the hit at Sandy Golf Links.
