The light house and the sea around is worth taking a look at. They’re really beautiful. However, the road to this isn’t the best. The last 21km to the light house is a gravel road. It’s best you go in a 4WD. 2WDs can go but I feel sorry for the vehicle. In between there are many lookout points and rocks to watch. Have offline maps downloaded as the reception gets worse down the road. The gravel road falls through a forest/bush land sort of environment. So it’s good you visit there in the morning. There are toilet facilities near the light house. Even a walking track and a camp ground.

Grand lighthouse at the end of a long cape in national park heathland. Really good whale watching and seabirds. Resident seals and wombats. Not ideal for picnics, and the environment is a bit degraded. We saw Humpbacks and Orcas last week. Take your own chairs for a picnic in the bush or at Pulpit Rock.

Views at the lighthouse is well worth it. Driving 21 km one way on the gravel road is part of the experience. Road condition was good even for a small car and is wide enough all the way for two cars to pass so not to worry of scratching the body. There is a (not so present) toilet to use if you really have to!Old passion way to pay the park use/parking at the lighthouse which need $8 in exact cash was interesting too. I think this is a must visit if you are in the area.

Always memorable experience to drive here. The lighthouse and all zhe station. It's history. And mostly location and views of the ocean and the coast. Even fighting the strong wind will only enhance your experience

Drive is really really bad but worth travelling that road. 30 minutes of offroading with major pot holes. So be prepared for a very bumpy ride. But lighthouse experience is great. Attaching photos for you to decide if you really want to go to see it from your own eyes or not.

Stunning view of the lighthouse on a lush green cliff, against a backdrop of sweeping cliffs and ocean as far as the eye can see. From this point we also saw a pod of dolphins and a couple of whales swim by so keep your eye out. It's a special kind of wild beauty here, reminds me of some bygone era. One of my favourite lookouts in NSW.It's about a 20 minute drive off the main road onto a well maintained dirt road (well it was when we went). Perfectly suitable for a small car (that's what we used). There are guided tours of the lighthouse and I recommend looking into this in advance of your trip as it may be worth doing. I had no mobile service out there. There is an $8 park entry and you need to take the right amount of change for it or possibly book online in advance.I'd like to go back and stay overnight in one of the cottages.

A decent walk from the camp ground or a good drive along dirt roads that can be challenging with a reasonable amount of pot holes and diverts. There are also wildlife along the roads towards dusk. This makes a fun drive and one to test your driving skills. The lighthouse has fantastic views of the bay and ocean. There is a picnic table at the lighthouse area.
